Longhorns Stampede Over Panthers
Talk about a turnaround. RBV came into the Round-up Week rivalry with every intent to put the recent past two seasons behind them. Vista came in wanting to forget the previous week. Over the past 3 years Vista has asserted its dominance over the cross-town Longhorns. But on this night, fired and ignited by a new coaching staff, RBV played with more intensity than the Panthers and took the game right at their rival.
The Longhorns took advantage of their huge offensive line and plowed right through the middle of the Vista defense. RBV was just as relentless on defense pushing constantly into the Panther backfield. The result was a convincing 36-0 whitewash that RBV hopes may resonate and rejuvenate what had become a one-sided rivalry for Vista.
The road gets even tougher as Vista next takes on CIF-SDS #1 Oceanside at Simcox Field
