The final four teams for the 2007 East Meadow Covanta Cup were named at approximately 4:00pm on Sunday, August 26th and when the dust settled, the East Meadow Dynamite and the Commack Blasters were one "rematch" pairing while the Auburndale Strikers and Albertson Milan Fury would form the other semifinal. Under pleasantly warm sunlit conditions, the Blasters and Dynamite did battle - part two.

The Dynamite scored the match's only goal in the twelfth minute of the first half on an outstanding individual spin move from the right side into the left side netting. Just two minutes later, Ashley drilled the left side East Meadow post flush - in fact, the shot was so strong that the keeper never moved on the ball. None the less, the ball remained outside the pipes.

The second half saw Commack pressing to find any goal against East Meadow.

Sara played well in this match with four early saves against a pressing East Meadow front line. Everyone truly left their best efforts on the field in this tournament where three of our four matches were against top flight premier GU/18 teams. Commack's tournament ended with their semifinalist designation.
