Day two opened under the same humid conditions that saw the opening matches of the 2008 Shenentaha Mad Dog Mania College Showcase hampered by the threat of rain. In this early morning contest, the Commack Blasters scored early and scored often on their way to a 4-0 win over the Syracuse Football Club.

Alyssa took the opening kick on a long ball down the field and her shot eluded the Syracuse keeper and was just wide of the right post to set the game tempo. With heavy offensive pressure, Jen saved a ball along the right side and her cross was played beautifully into the net on a Saulty header for a 1-0 lead in minute eleven. Ten minutes later, Katie served a tremendous individual effort to the right post that Tori placed high into the net to double the lead at 2-0. Taryn threaded a throughball from the midfield in minute twenty-seven that found Saulty and her shot was placed high over the keeper for a 3-0 halftime advantage.

The Blasters came out on fire after the break as Taryn scored from midfield in the opening minute for a 4-0 lead with an assist to Kiersten. Kiersten showed a good turn of foot in the middle of the half while LB moved forward for the final minutes of the match. Defensively, Syracuse had relatively few real chances as Stephanie and Carolyn recorded the clean sheet after a good effort from Campy, Meghan, LB, and Alyssa anchoring the back line. Nicky and Liz were midfield anchors in helping to control this match.

Attending this match were coaches from William-Smith, Skidmore, Siena, and several SUNY schools.
