2008 Weekly Required Reports
1. All Ending Game Scores must be reported to League Football Commissioner – Glen E. Decker at gedeck1@twcny.rr.com by 6pm Sunday Night the weekend of when the game was played.
2. 1st Quarter Game Scores are to be reported with the Ending game Scores.
(These scores will be used for end of the season tie breaker. Example: two teams tie at 5-1. The team with the greater points scored in the 1 quarter seeds higher going into playoffs. If points scored in the 1 quarter are a tie, then the team with the least points scored against will get the higher seed. If that is still a tie, then it goes back to the first game; points scored/point against, and will continue through the games until a tie has been broken.
3. Referee Vouchers must be mailed out by Monday of the weekend of when the game was played...

4. Lopsided/Intentionally Run UP Scores Reports are to be e-mailed to Comm. Decker within 24 hours of the Game in question if a full discrepancy between the two teams exists at the conclusion of the game.

Meeting called to order at 7:15 pm
Minutes: Copy of June 2008 minutes distributed and reviewed;
Then motion to accept by Giants. – seconded by South Jeff.

Treasures Report:
Detailed verbal report provided by League treasure.
• $ 343.25 in savings
• $ 298.06 in checking
Motion to accept the treasures report as given. Carthage Bears seconded by Giants.

Old Business:
• President’s appointments of open Board positions; V.P. and Treasurer these two persons shall hold office in till the end of the 2008 season (just as each board position held).
o Treasurer, Ms. Lisa Staie, indefinitely suspended.
o VP, Mr. Mark Staie, resigned.
• Due to recent situations with League Bank Accounts; the invitation for Eastern Region Scholastics Coordinator to visits has been withdrawn!
• LAST Mandatory Risk Management Class offered huge success more than 100 people were in attendance!
• Review of Regular Season Schedule. (Attached last month) can be viewed on web page.
• Anyone wishing to add info. to the GWPW web page email league secretary, James Purdy, at info@PULASKIAREAPOPWARNER.COM.

o FB CERTIFICATION WEIGHTS WILL BE FOLLOWED AS WRITTEN THE RULE BOOK, STARTING ON PAGE 30 PART iv 11 MAN TACKLE RULE OF PLAY. THIS PROCEDURE IS MOST RELIABLE FOR OUR LEAGUE TO BE ASSURED THAT THE PARTICIPANTS ARE NOT OVER / UNDER THE WEIGHT LIMITS THAT ARE LISTED AS STRIPPED WEIGHT (SHORTS & t-Shirt). THAT IS ULTIMATELY WHAT WE ARE HELD UNDER POP WARNER INSURANCE!
o DURING GAME DAY WEIGH IN’S EACH CERTIFIED PARTICIPANT WILL BE WEIGHTED IN WITH EQUIPMENT!!!
o KICKOFF WEEKEND / WEEK ONE 9 LBS EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE FOR PW PLAYERS… AND 8 LBS EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE FOR MM PLAYERS…
On Game Day Week one 09-07-08 PW player 10 & 11 year olds could weigh maximum 129 lbs and Older Lighter 12 year old maximum 109 lbs
On Game Day Week one 09-07-08 MM Max weight maximum 98 lbs.
o EACH WEEK THERE AFTER ALLOWANCES WILL INCREASE BY ONE POUND!!! Player must have been certified first!
o HEAD COACHES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DEVIATE FROM THIS RULE!!! If a player is over he or she does not play, no exceptions!!!
o On game day if any rules need to be clarified call Mr. Decker @ 406-6902. Might be good idea to program number into your head coach’s cell!
New Business:
• Any and all late fee’s including 2008 League Dues and absence fees that are now past due. Must be paid!
• Thank you to The Lowville Association and volunteers who made this years GWPW annual scrimmage day a success!
• Football Commissioner Report. (Referees meeting from early August, Football certifications, background checks, weekly reporting ect. ect.) FB certifications were pushed back 2 weeks to aid those participants who might need to drop or add weight.
• Cheer Coordinator Report (Roster software, GWPW cheer camp & competition ect. ect.)
• 2008 GWPW Officials voucher (see attached) head coached must have referees sign.
• Those requiring 2008 Insurance forms can go to the national web page www.popwarner.com and along the left hand margin click “insurance information” and you can then request your associations own certificate. There are also instructions on how to do so.
• LAST Mandatory Risk Management Class offered was a huge success more than 100 ppl were in attendance!
o Each association’s President and or Football Commissioner must ensure your Coaches have taken the proper procedure to become PW certified instructor… If unsure what needs to be done then please ask. Each assistant will be mandated to be listed on your coach’s roster.
• League official, Mr. Danny Salmon, addressed those in attendance. Items discussed 2008 NFHS rules…
1. Scoring Values
2. The referees are NOT required to provide # of player who was penalized.
3. Head Coached is asked to meet with Referee before each kick-off.
4. Pop Warner policy regarding Coach Ejection. IMMEDIATE Suspension One week of practice and following game.
5. Referees training is maintain order. Each association Head Coach is responsible for controlling they’re parents and or fans.
6. If you have a complaint. You’re respectfully requested to do so in writing and forward to your associations Football Commissioner, Glen Decker, the complaint must include the referee or umpires name so it can be properly addressed.
7. The Referees will ALWAYS ERROR on the side of caution regarding the protection/safety of the participants.
• During next weeks football certification your football participants’ weight absolutely must be with in NATIONAL Pop Warner’s weight Matrix per her his or her age and weight. Or they will be unable to participate this 2008 season. It’s very important you express this national rule to your kids’ parents at your associations’ parents meeting! This is the standard were held to under PW insurance.
