Coach Taylor has touched many kids in his lifetime with knowledge, kindness and respect. Coach Taylor will be missed by Barstow Community Football and Cheer RIP Coach Taylor. True role models are those who posses the qualities that we would like to have and those who have affected us in a way that makes us want to be better people. This is Jamar Taylor.

I am new in barstow and my son has played football for some years, and I am very happy with this board, they have answer all my Q and more. They even gave me a update on paper on the Budget Finance and see how hard everyone is works, just blew my mind. I read the guestbook and was shock to see the Comments from el toppo, I know this I ask a Q and got a class on how run a youth program. I didn't know how much money it took to run a football program but I do now. What I loved was the monthly board meeting because the President didn't give the info on the Finance but the board Treasurer did in a spread sheet format. They even ask if I wanted a E-mail copy "who dose that" The board Secretary runs the meeting and keeps everyone on track just like a real Company, I felt like I was sitting in on a Ford board meeting. The Board even ask me if I wanted a payment plan the other football program wanted 325.00 and pay in full whlie barsow is 165.00 with a pament plan.

I know one thing my son had the best time of his life playing football. This was the first year with no problems. I love the new league and how nice was the snack bar, the food was better then most restaurants in town. The snack bar was the very clean and ran smooth. I do know this adults need to stay out of the way and let the kids play. I will be back!!!! How can anyone try and make this chapter look bad WOW.

are you for real? PLease if you love your kids you'll come out to the next board meeting and ask some questions of this illegal board and find out how it is really going down. If you've been around at all just look at the 2010 board and start their. IN the past two years very qualified individuals have made the decision to walk away from this CORRUPT ORGANIZAIONS.

Congratulations to the Chapters that won the Championship and the Finalist on Saturday what a great weekend of football. These young men from all of the Chapters played their buts off! All of the games were very competitive with only 6 points separating each game. A Big THANKS to Rosamond Roadrunners for hosting the first HDYFC Championship Games and Chris Hayes.

Coach Tex, I love you and what you are doing for Barstow is something great. As a coach it is very important to understand the reasons why children participate in sport. As the main provider of sport for children, the coach has the responsibility to meet the needs of children, to ensure they "play and stay with the GAA". There are many reasons that Children take part in sport, but research has shown that Children primarily participate to: Learn new skills Make friends See new places – and have new experiences Be part of a team For the competitive challenge/winning Sport improves their self worth To Have Fun Athletics: Improve your performance by gaining self confidence, learning to stay focused, and maintaining control at crunch-time. Be the most confident, composed, focused, and fearless athlete that you can be Visit www.mygameclip.com

All, Seems like we all hear about the bad and the good is overshadowed by this. I want to express how proud I am to be apart of this league and thank everyone who has invested so much of themselves in making this possible. I have personally witnessed very encouraging things. My own chapter has 75 kids who are playing this year that wouldn't have had this opportunity in years past. I have made friendships and have seen a level of sportsmanship that rivals no other conference we have been part of. I know there are presidents and HDYFC board members who really care about this conference and what it represents (the kids). I just encourage everyone to think positive and highlight the good, recognize chapters who lead by example and let someone know when you witness something positive as well. I'll start by saying out recent games vs AVK were well played and well coached. The AVK players and coaches showed alot of sportsmanship and this is a credit to Frankie and his chapter. For the record IWV is here to stay. How cool was it for us to play Barstow the same weekend our high schools played each other! and Barstow was a gracious visitor last Saturday in Ridgecrest. Tex and I were both really proud of our chapters and we owe it to all who have worked so hard for this. That's all for now, Thanks guys

I would like to first congratulate all of The Barstow Aztecs Youth football teams for there success. But I am truly writing this for the Barstow Aztecs Senior division team. This team should be especially commended and rewarded for there work and efforts. This team was a wonder to watch during practices and games, I watched the head Coach and his staff members start with six Players and develop a strong team with the minimal amount players with no extra players. This team was faced with hardship of not having the opportunity to rest or rotate players on or off the field. I witnessed this team get cheated on calls and plays during games and yet the team and the coaches remained calmed. I became interested in the coaches while watching them teaching there players the fundamentals of the games and there attention to detail and the development not just to win but for the player to play at potential. At first I thought the coaches where insane and felt bad for the players but after watching the season I now understand why those coaches took the extra effort for those boys conditioning and mental development on the field. I did not believe at first they would have a team but the coaches and Athletic director game to the practices along with there six players. I guess you would say I became sympathetic fan of the Barstow seniors and was wondering would it happen. While watching I noticed a real sense of family and brotherhood amongst the players and the coaches and then I saw what would be there team. I recall seeing the head coach show up with his thirteen player’s maybe two more and play a team with double of what he had and win against a team that had the potential to beat him. As a parent I was skeptical and unsure but the coaches and the players never showed a sign of lack of confidence and that was amazing to me. I have also witness the coaches teach all of there players in both an individual setting and group and each player learned there perspective active roles on the team and performed to a level of talent. I truly witnessed football players being developed at practices and during games. The players on this team are ready for there next level of play. The coaches never turned there backs on the player that did not play and encouraged them to continue to work on school and sports and some players that did not make this team due to weight was able to join the team at the high school and start junior varsity. If any team should be commended for their efforts this should be the team the seniors football team and the Coaching staff defied the odds of winning and even when the odds where not in there favor, (which was every game) they where never out of the game and nor did they give up. I have seen what caliber of players that comes from Coach Plummer and his staff. If your unsure of his abilities look to the future at Barstow High and witness the talent in the freshmen and talk to his players whom he have coached to see what type players come from his coaching staff. Look forward to seeing the talent of this team on the next level along with the players that where coached the year before. This is a testament of the coaches teaching and there dedication to the game. I know that we all encourage the winners and the undefeated but in some battles the winner is not the one holding up the victory fist but the person who gave their all for what they believed in. Thanks Coach “P”

Hi, I just want to give your Sophomore coaching staff and team a big thank you. My son's team, Snowline Diamondback Gold 2 team, played the sophomore team on Saturday. It was apparent after the first few minutes of play that your team was far more experienced and talented than our young team. Yet, our boys left the field that day with their heads high thanks to the sophomore team's coaching staff. They put in their second string players and allowed our team to be in the game. Even when their first string players were in the game they demonstrated tremendous sportsmanship. After the game the greatest compliment came from the four boys I had in my car: "that team was cool, they even high fived *me *when I made a play". Please pass this on the the Sophomore team, and we wish they the best of luck with the rest of their season. Thanks, Mastro's

The youth football program should be proud of what you guys have done. Three years ago the field was unusable and now everyone can use it. How proud all the board members must feel to make so much of a change in our community. I want to thank you for your hard work.
