Entry ID: 1413003 | As a divorced Mom, I always look for a coach who will not belittle my son but someone who will be firm with him and teach him not only basketball skills and techniques but also teamsmanship and helping him to become not only a great athlete but also help him develop other very needed skills and qualities such as leadership, morale and self-esteem that he can take with him anywhere. Well, coach Joe is providing that and more for my son. He has a nack of honing in on each players weaknesses and strengths and immediately begins to help strengthen and highlight both areas. I watched him take one of my son's friends who had never played organized basketball before and now is the starting center for the team and improves with every practice and game.
The Argonauts could not have come at a better time in my son Cameron's life! He had just completed a year with CCOP on the "A" team but had lost his confidence to play because he felt that all of the other "A" team players were better players than he was, so he came away feeling that he could not play that well anymore. However, a couple of my friends mentioned that we check out the Argonauts and so we went on a Friday night work-out and conditioning and that same night, he joined the team and has not missed a night since joining! He has also brought in 6 of his other friends and 1 cousin, whom have all been very pleased. Needless to say, he has redeemed his confidence!
Of course I could go on and on and on about how much Coach Joe and the argonauts have made a tremendous difference for my son Cameron and his friends.
Thank you Coach and Lynn for taking the time to pour into my son and his friends! |

Entry ID: 1209326 | We are very glad that Jason joined the Bay Area Argonauts. His defense, rebounding, speed and shooting have significantly improved. These fundamentals improvement and Argonauts’ conditioning helped Jason made the CYO A-team and 7th grade school team. Thank you very much Coach Joe for helping my son. You have an awesome program! I’ve seen a lot of kids in your program playing better basketball.

Entry ID: 955106 | The Bay Area Argonauts was a wonderful opportunity for our son as it allowed him to improve his conditioning and hone his fundamentals, learn and work within a team concept/environment, allowed his leadership abilities to surface, play within a competetive league and tournament, scrimmage against an AAU team, meet new friends and most important of all, allowed him to have fun. We found the atmosphere and coaching to be very supportive and encouraging and it was critical that Joe was able to assess each team member on an individual basis and provide specific feedback on how to improve and in which areas. Our son was one of 20 players (48 players tried out and 12 of the 20 were members of the Bay Area Argonauts) that made the 6th grade basketball team this year at Harvest Park and I strongly believe that Joe deserves the majority credit for his making the team.
