Entry ID: 1546554 | I just wanted to say that Im proud of the team and the way we ended our season. No we didn't win the last game to get into the playoffs. But what we did do is show what Mustang football is all about. After a hard lose to end our season. The Mustangs as a team stood in line with Buccaners to cheer on Joey as he took the field after having major brain surgery. A kid that showed us all what life is all about. And thats the type of kids I want on my team.
Thank You
Proud of you all

Entry ID: 1472238 | Coach Woody,
I am responding to your comment below, I want to say thank you on behalf of my child and myself, you have made football a lot of fun for a child who is now in his 5th year in this league and it is by far been the funnest year he has had, He is excited for football practice everynight and thats something in his first 4 yrs never happened, Football at this age is all about fun and learning and most people dont understand the real learning comes those 3 nights at practice NOT that 32 min game each weekend and no matter what happens during those 32 mins on the weekends it was practice that is teaching them the way to play the game. So again for someone who does not have a child in this league or one at all for that matter for you to still come out and dedicate and volunteer your time to mold these kids into young men and into football players we all thank you!Keep having fun and doing what you do best and thats teach these kids!! and Mustangs players, no matter what the score this weekend win or lose keep your heads up high you had an AMAZING season and we are all proud at the way you have fought hard and played your hearts out!!! Goodluck Sunday boys! |

Entry ID: 1472220 | Joey Sciarra should be an inspiration to us all. He has shown me what is really important in life. And it maybe different for you. It makes us realize that are differences and things we complain about each day. It really doesn't matter. As a coach what is important to me is that the kids learn the game of football and maybe learn something that carries over in life. Like not giving up no matter what happens. I don't coach for the wins and loses. We have to realize its not always about winning. (see the first thing I posted on this site and that will tell you what a winner is) (Don't get me wrong I want to win and I hate losing but I realize there are bigger things then winning and losing) And I think sometimes we lose our focus about whats important. And bottom line, its the kids. Thats it!! And I am proud of each kid in this league and I am proud of every kid on my team. So lets do this for the kids and teach them the game of football. And lets make it fun. Proud to be the Mustangs Head Coach.

Entry ID: 1365628 | All mustang players read this.....
"Is a winner somebody who has success and basically accomplished something or wins a game? THATS NOT A WINNER!! A WINNER IS SOMEONE WHO HAS GIVEN HIS/HER BEST EFFORT. WHO HAS TRIED THE HARDEST THEY POSSIBLY CAN. WHO UTILIZED EVERY OUNCE OF ENERGY AND STRENGTH WITHIN THEM TO ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING. IT DOESN'T MEAN THEY ACCOMPLISHED IT OR FAILED. IT MEANS THAT THEY'VE GIVEN THEIR BEST. THATS A WINNER. THATS WHAT A WINNER IS ALL ABOUT."
By Walter Payton #34
P.S. THATS THE MUSTANG CHALLENGE CAN YOU GIVE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE? ALL YOUR ENERGY, ALL YOUR SWEAT AND TEARS. IF WE ARE DOWN CAN YOU FIGHT THROUGH IT? IF YOUR TIRED, ITS HARD TO BREATH, YOUR LEGS ARE BURNING, YOU THINK YOU HAVE NOTHING LEFT CAN YOU DIG DEEP AND FIGHT THROUGH? IF YOU CAN DO THIS NO MATTER THE SCORE THATS WHAT BEING A MUSTANG IS ALL ABOUT. |
