Its best to GET THEIR ATTENTION( hard hitting!!)and set the tone of who (RULES!!) right from the start, and when the 3rd qt comes...THEY WILL BE YOURS!! You have captured the hearts of a small town so obscure,and have taken them to new heights and places for sure. For history will write of your Guts and your Glory, for 2006 and a wondrous story.
Some warriors ride off to lifes future campaigns,with our Love we do send them, while the younger remains. For in 2007 in April or May and born out of ashes new warriors will say,"Mount your steed mighty 12th man for we must ride today; the campaign has started,and we must be on our way."

Entry ID: 1013101 | First I'd like to say that I live in the Mercer County and I'm proud of it. This Big Reds Team reminds me alot of teams that I played for back in the 90's for the Hickory Hornets. My older brother Rocky played on the 1990 State AA Football Champs, a little school out of Hermitage Pa who the weren't even ranked until making it one game to state to that year. I feel that even if I didn't go to West Middlesex, played ball for the Big Reds that it's mine and everyone else's duty to support this group of young men. They are the Elite of Mercer County right now! This team also has brought back some great memories when I played ball, the coaches, the unselfish play of the players, and the bond that they have for one another. But most importantly the community supported those teams when I played and I used to scratch my head saying "I don't remember that guy at the games when it came to playoff time seeing the same faces following us each game after the regular season. But now it makes perfect sense!! This team made a commitment to each other to go this far in the football program, and they are playing with Pride, which is what Mercer County should be all about. And even if the East people don't give us respect in their newspapers with rankings, prentending not to know who we are, thats ok because we know where we are from THE MERCER COUNTY. The Big Reds also have great coaches who are teaching these young men all about playing football with passion, and intensity, which they will never forget the rest of their lives, I know because I had similar coaches who I still remember, and teams I often think about because no one could take those teams, names, championships away from me, I was there, and accomplished it! So, even if those people over there,don't know who we are I just like to give some kudos to teams who have played well, who are from the Mercer County, so that maybe it can give them people some headaches once in awhile: (Hickory, Sharon, Sharpsville, Wilmington, Greenville, Grove City, Kennedy Catholic, Slippery Rock). You don't know who we are? Thats who we are! And guess what..all from Mercer County, thank you very much. GO BIG REDS, BRING IT HOME, WE BELIEVE YOU CAN! |
