Congrats to A team and my lil ladies on the C team for an AMAZING showing in Canada. It was the highlight of the season. And to only miss being in 1st place by 16 points out of 650ish points that tells me no more could have been done. It was as close to perfect as i could have imagined! I am and always will be proud to say i am the coach of that team!! Paula

I am the Great Aunt to two of our football players on B team Nathan Stratton, on A team Caleb Stratton. And in cheerleading my great niece Nicole Stratton, on C team. I am extremely prod of all of them. And their brother Jacob and father Russell who help on the side lines. As well as all the other team mates, and family members. My husband William and I are tax payers in East Bloomfield. And have for years been dissatisfied with the loss of the one sport our and your children excel in, Football, and it's Cheerleaders. Thank you so much for all the hard work given, and dedication to supporting our kids in this league. Breaking records was a standard for A' Team this year. How prod we all are of them. As C' and B' gave it a hard push successful in advancing in their determination, skills, pride, ability's and dedication to the sport they love. I have made one major over all observation and would like to express the plead to advance the number of assistant coaches and or helpers to both the football players and the cheerleaders. Forced to acknowledge that all the other teams have at least six per football player division A',B',C', and their Cheerleaders. Our kid's deserve the same hands on as they do. And if needed the advertising to do so on line, newspapers, and in our school's such as the year book, even if they are not advancing in our schools after they are no longer able to play for the Steelers. Maybe the draw of constant positive attention will in fact force the school board and the tax payers to take a look at other options getting it in to the school. And at the very least make children who are not playing for us as yet to open their eyes and their parents allowing many additional players. As with us, the adults cheering on the side lines. Our football team deserves its cheerleaders on the side lines,& they in return. And on that note would like to express the following thoughts, experiences, gratefully thankfulness for those that cared enough to support, encourage, acknowledge, and give to our cheerleaders who with pride represent the "Bloomfield Steelers" Both on the field during the game and off the field with out the players in competition. Yet for them a competition as physical and mentally challenging as the game its self, with pride they represent. They earned the respect of other districts at RIT again this year placing & qualifieing earned the invitation to leave the country and compet in Canada at the 2009 Festival of lights cheearleading competition. And with that earned enough respect from our members families, and cheerleader fund raisers strictly dune by them. With little help from the team and only at the end given. They went to Canada doing what ever it took to get there. Again erning the respect of much larger divisions both A' and C" Cheerleaders took 2nd place, again earning the right and invitation to advance to the next competition, this one in Florida. Unfortunatly they do knot get the support the team it self gets and most probally will be denied their dedicated hard work & pride representing the Bloomfield Steelers to go and compet. Additionally I feel we should as draining and at the same time advigerating as it can be continue with fund raisers to support our Cheerleaders, as well as the team as a whole threw out the year. So they can advance at these opportunities. Put the money in a kitty and hold it. Have some dinners after the holidays, fund raisers, bake sales, car wash, pizza & movie nites, represent make and sell steeler cheerleader hair ribbons saying simple Bloomfield Steelers.Roller skating parties and remember we can talk with the ymca for functions as well as the school. Let the people know we are out there well earning for our kids. In closing I have to say I am so prod to be a part with my great nephews and niece in the Steelers. I can say I was their for RIT. I can say I went to Canada and it was awesome ! Our girls represented less than a third the size of the other groups bringing the focus to every move they made and they were perfect! Our girls represented not just at competition but in every thing they did. The hotel, activities. Being respectful, courteous, polite to all. Including those teams that were not being to them or the country its self . Special thanks go out to Curry & Paula, they worked hard, followed the rules, stayed with their girls, they were awesome during and before the trip. And to those special people that assisted them. My only dissatisfaction was of C' teams two coaches and their families that broke the rules and risked our girls being disqualified. They stayed at the Sheraton( in my book should not receive any of the money earned toward the trip) And told the girls no candy only healthy snack's before and at compation including no meals directly before. All our girls followed this rule. Except for the coaches sister who took out a big bag of candy and ate in front of he rest teasing them with it. Last I new a team was the whole team and they all are in titled, or not! I would have to say their choice as well not to give practice its full due the few weeks prior. To the Parents, Grandparents,Great Grandparents. Aunts & Uncles & those of Great heratage, Team Officals, Helpers & Others, Thank You for being a part those that were, thank you for representing those that represent! Please Keep Lunging Forward! Sincerely, Sue Walsh Family & Friends, Dedication,Respect, Support, & Pride,
