Ballers Give Back To The Community  

On April 15 & 16, 2014 the players visited the NHC and Belfair Blooms Assisted Living Facilities in Bluffton, SC. Players passed out bunnies made by moms of several of the players. This community service project was a collaborative effort between parents/players. The moms had an opportunity to get to know each other better by spending a Sunday afternoon putting bunnies together while players practiced. The players were happy to put smiles on the faces of the residents and spend a little time talking with them.

Ballers Start 2014 Season With Wins!!!

The 2014 season kicked off for the Ballers at the USBA Spring Fever Classic at RB Stall High School in North Charleston, SC on March 14-16, 2014. This was the first tournamnet for the newly added 8th Grade Carolina Ballers' Team. Many of the 8th graders were shocked by the fast pace of the games. The 8th garde team went home with no medals but put up a challenge to some elite travel teams from South Carolina and Georgia areas.

The 9th Grade team welcomes back it's original members from last year along with new addition Kevin Williams of Beaufort Academy and his family. The 9th Grade Ballers came in Runner-Up in this tournament, falling to the Low Country Elite D-1 team from Charleston.

One weekend off and the Ballers were back on the court to play in the Hilton Head Takeover Tournament in Bluffton, SC on March 28-30. Both teams saw plenty of action from teams out of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. The 8th Graders came in 2nd in pool play and were ousted in the 1st round of tournament play. 

9th Grade Ballers went 3-1 to pull off a Championship win at the Southern Premier Hoops Hilton Head Takeover Tournament against the Bluffton Bulls!

CONGRATULATIONS to the Carolina Ballers 8th Grade players on their teamwork and great sportsmanship shown April 25-27, 2014! They are the 2014 Jenkins Boys Club AAU Super Regional 8th Grade Division CHAMPIONS!!! 9th Grade Ballers came in 2nd Place at this tournament! Congratulations, Ballers!

Kenny Brown and Camrin Wright

on their high school basketball season with the Whale Branch Warriors' basketball team. Kenny and Cam both started on the JV squad and earned spots on the Varsity roster as the season progressed. The Warriors won the Lower State Championship and traveled to Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC to play in the  Class 1-A title on Saturday, March 8, 2014. The Warriors came in Runner-Up.

The Warriors' basketball team and their Coach received recognition and medals at a Beaufort County School Board meeting on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Kenny & Cam along with Ms. Priscilla Drake (WBECHS Principal), Coach Lyles, and their teammates are pictured below.

CONGRATULATIONS

Head Coach J. Morow, Coach Spicer, and the players and their families on their FIRST 8th Grade DII District Championship and their FIRST Super Regional Championship (Jacksonville Magic Tourney: See photo below.) The Ballers swept their division at both tournaments and finished undefeated to earn a bid to D-II Nationals at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL in July!
