Hey, as a part of the 2007 National Champion Georgetown Eagles, I'd like to thank the site admin. for putting us on the home page, I can't speak for my teammates but I greatly appreciate the recognition in this country centered around hockey... (which I think is going to change as soon as the Raptors or Jays make the playoffs, fans will start to realize that the Leafs aren't the best team in Toronto)

I would like to publically express my thanks to the Toronto Team 1 that participated in this past weekend's Cannon Cup for making it such a memorable experience for my 12 year old son Nick (a member of this past season's Oakville As Minor PeeWee team). Nick came out Friday to participate in the skills competion as an outfielder for the home run competition. We found ourselves staying until 10 pm as he worked with the above team as their bat boy. Being such a great group, Nick joined up with them for their second game on Saturday and worked with the team again. He was honoured to attend Saturday night's game where drying baseballs became a part of his duties as you could not see the outfielders for the mist. At the end of the game Saturday night, the team honoured him with a gift for all his efforts. He was very touched by the kindness of these strangers who had allowed him to become a part of their team. It was an experience he will never forget. Again, Toronto Team 1, thank you for a fantastic Cannon Cup experience.
