Entry ID: 1258627 | YES!!!!!The Colts pulled off the anticipated upset. Our boy have been waiting all year to play the Giants again and what a wonderful Championship Game. We had the smallest group smallest team and our Boys brought "IT" home. I would love to thank our JV Colt coaches who did the best job with the youth that I have ever seen. Way to go Colt..Way to make our families proud. To all parents, "Simply believe the kids can and they will achieve." Thank you FYFL, you have changed the course of our 2 sons life forever!!!!!!!!!! |

Entry ID: 1215468 | A Couple Key Notes: It's concerning to me when a parent and a Coach end up in a verbal altercation. I do not wish to start a debate as to who said what and who started in on who and all that mess- we know, we know.
Here's what I want to say:
Let the players play... Let the coaches coach... let the officials officiate... and let the parents/fans cheer encouragement.
That's the spirit of a youth league.

Entry ID: 1196098 | My son Cameron played for the Giants and Colts. He was playing when current Mayor of Frederick Jeff Holtzinger was coaching. It was rough, but he had fun, and so did I. I was one of those mothers that ran up and down the field cheering the boys and girls on. Best part of this league was EVERYONE played. It didn't matter if you had never played before, or been playing for years. FYFL helps these players with the fundamentals and not worry about winning and losing.
Thank you for all the great years FYFL. Even though my son is too old for the league now, we are still coming to the games this year, or try to.
Best of luck to all the teams and see you on the field. |

Entry ID: 1111720 | To the anonymous person below, it is a sad thing for you to come on this board and bash this league. My son joined the league two years ago, with no affiliation with any of the coaches or management. It has been a great experience for him, and he looks forward to coming back each year. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with the league, however it seems that perhaps your son was more apt to play baseball than football. It's unfortunate that you discount a wonderful organization because it was the wrong direction for your son. This organization does alot for the children involved. The coaches, whether you know them or not, are nothing less than motivating and supportive. I wish your son the best of luck with baseball.
And to the returning players, it's going to be another great year!! |
