Well the Panthers season ended last night on a very good note, even though the Pascagoula lost, those kids played hard. If not for a couple of key turnovers it could have easily been a win. I saw some younger kids get an opportunity to play and they rose to the occasion. Congratulations to all the seniors, I know you were wishing for a different outcome to this season, but as a fan who never missed a game I am proud of each of you. Thanks for a memorable 2009 season.

The quote in the paper from Senior D. Brown says it was "Disrespectful that he had to walk across a Panther head painted at midfield because they were a playoff team". Guess what Brown, maybe you should take a local geography class to learn a few things, first of all, War Memorial Stadium is in PASCAGOULA, it is located adjacent to the PASCAGOULA High School and the PASCAGOULA mascot is a PANTHER. So when Gautier comes to our house to play, we have every right to have that Panther there. It really goes to show how ungrateful and disrespectful YOU and the Gautier School really are. I for one am glad that you have a stadium and I hope to never have to see that Gator displayed in the War Memorial Stadium again. To me and many more fans I think it was disrespectful for you to ever be the home team in our stadium. And as far as having to play on a Thursday, you should be grateful that you had a place to play. You want to talk about being disrespectful, you (Gautier) are the ones who need to show some respect. Not one time in the article did a Thank-You or an appreciation for allowing you to use OUR facilities ever come out. So I would like to say a special THANK-YOU Gautier, for getting your blue and gold out of our house. And as far as naming your stadium “The Swamp” after the University of Florida, looks like you could have come up with something original like Rodofreeberry Stadium after the people you say made it possible.

Well even though Pascagoula took a sound beating at the hands of Gulfport I think some very importan thing emerged from this game. I am not a coach but here is my take on it if I were. First even though Senquez is a great defensive back I would move him into the offense and find someone else to fill his defensive spot. With Senquez and Major in the backfield or spread out in a passing formation it would be a big threat to the defense. Then I think it is time for a quarteback change, don't get me wrong Jaron is a good athlete but it is time to put in Will Tomes and see how he does. (Could not do any worse). Jaron could become a reciever or running back. The kicker needs to be turned loose to kick the ball deep. Normally it is kicked to the 30 yard line or so and the opposing team always has good field position. The kicker proved Friday he can kick it deep. Put it in the endzone and let them start from the 20. And last but certainly not the least, if some of the younger kids have the desire and heart to play and these seniors do not, relpace them. Put the seniors on the bench I have observed several games where there is no fire or motivation on the sidelines. These seniors should be leading this team and if they are not they need to sit on the bench and let the younger kids play and get experience. What do we have to loose sitting at 1-4 for the season? I do realize at the Gulfport game there were some starters that were injured and not able to play and I am in no way putting any player down I just think a shakeup mightbe exactly what this team needs for next Friday. Take it or leave it, thats my take on the situation...........
