Entry ID: 1603777 | I got the letter from John Hostler about the anniversary. Wow!!! How time flies. Boy what a bunch of terrific memories. I played on the Cardinals for Vince Morelli in the very first 2 years of the league. There were some really great players on the first teams. Not as many teams and guys from all over tried out. I sure learned a lot as most of us did, and if not for HTLL and the coaches, I wouldn't have played in all of the leagues afterward.
John Hostler would be disappointed if I didn't mention that in his first year in the league, I crushed a homer off him to dead center in a Cards decisive victory over the Owls. Sorry John, but you keep reminding me.
I hope a lot of the guys check in. It sure was fun.

Entry ID: 1561167 | After receiving a letter from John Hostler about the April 18th 50 year celebration, I checked out the website looking for old friends.
I played for Coach Morelli back in 1960-1963 on the original Cardinals team. I wonder how many old friends are still around....
I'd also like to know how 50 years passed so quickly! |

Entry ID: 1323124 | Great website ! My son Andrew played for the 81 District Champion team and what a great experience it was ! Mr G was his Coach on both the Indians and Tournement Teams and I was saddened to hear of his passing . Haverford Township Little League has always been a class organization and I will cherish those great memories forever, as does my son . Best of luck in the future and I hope to see you on opening day ! |
