I have a pretty good feeling that it wasn't Leather who wrote that, but someone like Tim Hamilton who has 20 errors and has to talk down someone to make them feel better about their insecurities of fielding the ball. Entry ID: 1101889 | Alright, so obviously here's the deal; we've lost 3 games in a row. We can't let this losing bring us down, everyone has to keep their heads up and pick up one another. Getting pissed off when someone makes a mistake solves nothing. We have to come together and play as a team and work like a team. Quit goofing off during practice and get focused.
Here's one of the few quotes that makes sense from Yogi Berra about losing.. and it's quite true:
"I am a very competitive person. I don't like to lose at anything.... But I learned a long time ago that losing is a learning experience. It teaches you humility. It teaches you to work harder. It also is a powerful motivator. I've always said, somebody's got to win, somebody's got to lose. Accept losses and learn from them."
Also, if you go home thinking, "we lost three in a row and we better win tomorrow," that is like saying, "I hope I get a hit." It is negative energy. If you have too many guys hoping to win, then you have no chance. You have to make it happen. You have to go out and do some things to win the game.
So let's start brand new again and just go out and play some ball. Stop thinking so much about making the plays or getting a hit and just DO IT. |

As test scores have shown, North Hagerstown is much higher in testing scores than that of South Hagerstown. Just because of one persons error, you cannot determine one school is smarter then the other. Also, North doesn't have TB and AIDS. Good try! |
