McKibbens animating idea is that we need to move beyond â€sgrowthâ€t as the paramount economic ideal and pursue prosperity in a more local direction, with cities, suburbs, and regions producing more of their own food, generating more of their own energy, and even creating more of their own culture and entertainment. He shows this concept blossoming around the world with striking results, from the burgeoning economies of India and China to the more mature societies of Europe and New England. For those who worry about environmental threats, he offers a route out of the worst of those problems for those who wonder if there isnt something more to life than buying, he provides the insight to think about ones life as an individual and as a member of a larger community. pertained In the same report, the government also said productivity rose 0.7 percent last year, more than the initially estimated advance of 0.4 percent. In another revision, productivity declined less than initially thought in the first quarter of 2012, the Labor Department said. camarillo hatching officerpaul peoplewithin apdip

I recently visited the field and watched a few innings. Brought back some of my fondest memories of growing up in Valahalla. The parents that were involved then R B and Pat Henry, Harry and Charlie Stotz, Bill Perrin, Bill Fretwell, Marty Barnabec, Fred Broege, Barney Moravec and so many others, did an unbelievable job of providing us kids with a magical baseball experience. Thanks to all of them and the current parents who continue to provide Valhalla with one of the finest Little Leagues around. Steve Broege (1958 - 1961) PS: I believe I still have the record for having surrendered the longest home run ever hit on that field to a player by the name of Bruce Weinstein.

ITS AMAZING THE MEMORIES I HAVE RETAINED ABOUT PLAYING KENSICO LL BASEBALL. I PARTICIPATED ON THE YANKEES TEAM IN 1952 THE YEAR THE LEAGUE WAS ORGANIZED. GAMES WERE PLAYED ON THE NORTH WHITE PLAINS FIELD. THE FOLLOWING YEAR 1953 WE PLAYED ON A NEW FIELD THAT WAS BUILT ON LEROY AVE. THE PROPERTY AT THE TIME WAS OWNED BY TOWN JUSTICE MR. CATERSON. HE DONATED THE USE OF THE PROPERTY TO THE LEAGUE. ON OPENING DAY OF THAT YEAR I HIT THE FIRST HOME RUN ON THE NEW FIELD. JOHN ZIVERSACK WAS THE PITCHER FOR THE CUBS.SOME OF THE PLAYERS ON THE YANKEES JOE ROCCO / LARRY BENDER / JACK LOMBARDI / JOHN CARL / JOHN ALLEVI / ROBERT GLASHIEN / DANNY ODERIFERO / RALPH CARL / BILLY BEATON / DAVID JAEGER . STILL HAVE ARTICLES FROM REPORTER DISPATCH FROM THOSE YEARS . ANY QUESTION I WILL TRY TO ANSWER.

Played on the cubs, ss, 1955-57, I think, getting harder and harder to remember things. Thanks to the people who cared about the kids we were provided with many great memories. To this day LITTLE LEAGUE games are still the best baseball games on tv. Y,all keep up the great work.

Team: 1953 Giants, league champions. To this day have many fond memories of the Kensico Little League. Have an album with newspaper articles, of games played, league photos at Babe Ruth's grave site, team photos taken by my dad and Bernie Henry our coach, along with Charlie Stotz. My brothers Michael & Jimmy played as well. Played Center field, third base, and pitched. Thanks for the Web site. Thomas McGinnity Valhalla, NY.

We are thinking of moving to Valhalla in Westchester County. I'd like to know if your little league offers On Line Registration. Thanks...
