DEAR CONCERNED PARENT I ASSURE YOU ALL PICKS WERE MADE IN THE RIGHT MANNER. AS FOR JR. LGE OR MINOR LGE. IT DOESNT MATTER. THATS WHY THE FLYER SAID 7-8 YRS OLD. I WISH WE WOULD HAVE HAD MORE KIDS TRY OUT. WE USUALLY HAVE 2 TEAMS. AS YOU NOTICE WE LIKE TO KEEP THE KIDS BUSY AND HAPPY BUT SOMETHINGS ARE OUT OF ARE CONTROL. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME THANK YOU

Yes- team was chosen- only kids chosen were called. At least I know next time not to waste our time and effort for five hours. Shame- favoritism at its worst. No harm my son is unaware- but I won't forget. Concerned parent

Dear Dave- My son recently tryed out for five hours over 2 sundays. He was not selected which I understand. What I concerns me is that one of "players" selected left yesterdays tryout after 30 minutes while my son as well as others were there for the full 2.5 hours. What concerns me is that the players selected were minor league players and my son played Junior League ball. The fyler read all 7 and 8 year olds. Not all 7 and 8 year old minor leaugers. Both players from my sons class were on same minor league team and neither do I consider to be a better player than my son. How the player mentioned above was better without even hitting is very confusing (unless another coach had seen him hit). I believe you to be a fair and honest person and good guy so if you reply by email I will check site tommorow and call you off line. thanks Concerned parent

TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION MR OR MRS NONE. FIRST OF ALL THE T-BALL KIDS HAVE BEEN PITCHED TO IN OUR PROGRAM FOR THE LAST 4 OR 5 YEARS.LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL JUST ADOPTED THAT RULE LAST YEAR SO I GUESS LYND. LL IS AHEAD ON THAT. WE LEAVE IT UP TO THE COACHES WHETHER TO PITCH OR LET THE KIDS HIT OFF THE TEE.THE COACHES KNOW BETTER THAN US BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONES WITH THESE KIDS AT PRACTICE AND THE GAMES.THEY SHOULD DEVELOP AT THEIR OWN PACE BUT THEY HAVE TO BE HAVING FUN ALSO. T-BALL DIVISION IS 5&6 YR OLDS WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MOVE THEM UP TO THE NEXT LEVEL. THANKS FOR THE COMMENT BUT YOU DIDNT NEED TO ADDRESS THIS SO CALLED ISSUE HERE ON OUR GUESTBOOK.IF YOU TRULY CARE TO ADD SOMETHING POSITIVE MY DOOR IS ALWAYS OPEN.I DONT BITE. ALSO DONT BE A CRITIC BE A VOLUNTEER! WE WILL TAKE YOU MORE SERIOUS IF YOU SIGNED YOUR NAME

I have a question. Why are the coaches suddenly pitching to all the players during the "T-Ball" games? I thought the idea of T-Ball was for the kids to learn how to play the game and start to develop their skills at their own pace. Most of the kids just swing wildly and end up having to hit off the Tee anyway. It's just another example of grown men trying to take over the game. Keep it up fellas and you'll kill the enthusiasm that should be part of the T-Ball experience. Save the pitching to the players for practice. If the kid is too good to hit off a Tee then he should be moved up to the next level.

To the Lyndhurst Little League Members As this is our last year in Little League, I just wanted to take this opportunity to express my most sincere gratitude to all involved in this wonderful organization. The life skills taught my son during his years in Lyndhurst Little League, by his Coaches, Coach Phil and Coach Bernie, the constant support by President Dave. R., in addition to those of Coach Nick. R., Kevin M., Mark N., Vosa, Gumble, Kelly, DeMarco, Burkhart and all those involved will always be instilled in his memories. I have watched my son grow into a young man under thier guidance, coaching and support. Since his first try-out to his last season, all of those involved in the organization have dedicated thier time and efforts to not only my son but to all the children involved. Your efforts, time and dedication will always be appreciated and valued as he continues his journey to whatever it may bring next. I would like to once again thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful "Family". With Sincere Thanks Corrado, Vincenza, Paul "Minnow", Gina Minervini

Hi, I used to live just up the street (Tontine) on Park Avenue 1965-1972. I played Little League baseball for "Vigors" and the "Elks Club" in the 60s. Great web site. Hope Lyndhurst is still a great town for youth like it was when I lived there. Sacred Heart and Lyndhurst High School.

Regardless of the score, it was nice to see IACL & Amvets play last night. From Coach Steve having his father join him in the dugout to the IACL players and coaches applauding him when he was announced. Then finally the post game moment when both teams joined together to bid fairwell to their 12 year olds. It really was very touching & classy. Nice job Mitch & Steve.

Congratulations to Florist and Cricket in last nights game, it was a gutsy performance by both teams with alot of awesome baseball played. Great Game! Continue to give it your all and improve your baseball skills whether it be practice or a game. One of my favorite quotes is by Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski "Practice everyday like you are trying to make the team."
