Most of those on Youth Football League (YFL), Marlboro Mustang Teams are from Marlboro. Many of us decided to try YFL league, because you offered an alternative to the limitations of Pop Warner, and the YFL Teams were named Marlboro. Please put the Marlboro back in the name of the Team.

Entry ID: 783559 | The Jr. Diamond Football League is a Winter/Spring full contact youth football program that offers the opportunity for kids 12 - 15 years old to continue to compete on the gridiron (and improve their football skills!) from December through March each year. We are currently concluding our fourth successful season (league playoffs March 4, League All-Star/Champiojnship Games March 12) - and are looking to expand for the 2006-07 season. We currently have teams in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia - as well as a Florida Division... Players must be 12-15 years old (for the upcoming 2006-07 season, as of 1-1-07) - practices begin in November/December, games begin in January and run through early March. Good luck with your new league. Weight limitations were a cause of concern and embarassment during my sons' playing years in Pop Warner.
I remember just prior to games the removal of certain pieces of equipment just to make weight during game day. Eventually, my son was disqualified from ever playing Pop
Warner, no matter how much the removing of equipment.
