Congrats to the Milltown Little League and their championship season! We are all very proud of the boys, coaches & the parents. As my brother Dave wrote, we learned the game of baseball in Milltown. We played our formative years in the midget league at Joyce Kilmer, the minor league at Albert Ave. Park (We were part of the Champion Senators team in 1970) and I played on the Cubs team for 2 seasons. We learned about pride, teamwork & sportsmanship, which are great building blocks for anyone's future. We are thankful that Milltown provides sports & recreation for it's youth & we hope it will continue it's proud traditions well into the future. Best regards & keep up the good work!

Congratulations Milltown! It really brings back memories to when my father taught me and my brother Frank the game of baseball. My father coached us along with a few other fathers of the Rescue Squad back in the mid to late 1960's. We then advanced to the minor league division where in 1971 as members of the Senators, coached by Mr. Gelb and sons, we were champions. My brother still has the trophy! Anyway We have visited our old hometown from time to time and the old field looks a little more modern than when we played. When we look at the field we can still hear the umpire's "Play Ball" and the sound of our parents and friends cheering us on. We who have set foot on that field, left part of ourselves there and have taken with us the memories of the game we once played and those we played it with...
