Entry ID: 1726907 | Thanks to the Mt. Dora midget football program for another great season! Every year is getting better and better. It's amazing how people try to find something to complain about. Thanks to Coach Anthony and Coach Shaun for announcing the game time for the mitey mites BOWL GAME at the banquet, also a special thanks to the young ladies who gave me another peice of chicken when I did not like the peice that was given to me. All I had to do was ask! Again, GREAT SEASON to all the football teams. NOW,THE OTHER PROGRAMS KNOW THAT MT.DORA HURRICANE FOOTBALL IS FOR REAL.
ALSO GREAT JOB CHEERLEADERS! HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL NEXT SEASON. |

Entry ID: 1724378 | Just a thought, how about serving spaghetti and meatballs instead of leftover hotdogs, hamburgers and chicken backs from the concession stand! This way, you could make enough to go around. Who eats chicken backs anyways????? |

Entry ID: 1706058 | I'm very proud to be a part of the Pop Warner program in Mount Dora. I think Shawn Howard and his staff have done a GREAT JOB of starting and growing a positive foundation in the community that i grew up in. I enjoy coming out to practice to share my love for the game during the week but the best part is game day. I'm the guy that supplies the sound system and music for the home games. I would like to take this time to APOLOGIZE to any parent or child that i have offended by playing music during the games. However, it has been said that i play dirty music and i take that to heart. THAT IS NOT TRUE!!! I understand that EVERYONE does not listen to the same type of music and some songs i play may not be sweet to all ears but i've never played anything dirty.

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY WE HAVE SO MANY KIDS AND ADULTS ON THE FIELD AND TRACK DURING THE GAME, AND WHY ON GODS GREEN EARTH ARE WE PLAYING MUSIC DURING THE ENTIRE GAME? I SAW THE COACH EVEN REQUEST FOR IT TO BE TURNED OFF WITH NO RESULTS. THE MUSIC IS OK BETWEEN GAMES AND HALFTIME BUT NOT DURING THE GAME. I HOPE WE CAN FIX BOTH THE KIDS ON THE FIELD AND THE MUSIC FOR THE NEXT HOME GAME. GOOD JOB TO ALL THE PLAYERS ON ALL THE TEAMS, MOUNT DORA IS FOR REAL THIS YEAR. |

Entry ID: 1692814 | We all looked great last week but how about we keep the kids off the track and field unless they are playing. During the last game, we had way to many kids on the sidline and track. It got to the point that the parents watching the game could not even see their kid. If they are not part of the team playing then they need to be in the bleachers. |

The music played DURING gametime on Saturday was grossly inappropriate. I have small children that come and watch the game and I was shocked to hear some of the langauge that was allowed to be played over the loud speakers. Shouldn't someone have listened to or screened these songs first? Also, I have never been to game where the music was played continuously during the game. Isn't that distracting to the players, coaches and ref's out on the field???? At any other game that I have attended, the music ALWAYS stops when the play begins and then starts up in between plays or at halftime. Never while the kids are in the middle of playing..............Let's work to improve this for next week! Thanks! |
