Entry ID: 1667109 | I received approval tonight for the Police/Fire Charity Ice Hockey Tournament to be held at the Polar Ice Facility in Chandler, AZ. The dates have been confirmed as October 16 thru 18, 2009. Each team will play at LEAST 3 games and more if you make the playoffs.
The games will begin at 7am and run to approx. 4 pm each day. If we have a huge turnout, the rink will allow for a few night games if needed.
The cost will be $1200.00 per team or approx. $100.00 or less per player. I need to know if your team is going to participate no later than Sep 1, 2009 with full team payment due by Sept 7, 2009. The deadline for the payment has been set by the rink as they will have to move several things around to accommodate the tournament but they will not do so until the fee has been paid. The team registration fee will pay for the ice time and the remainder will go to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Foundation.
There has already been a lot of interest in this tournament since I sent an email out last week so it shouldn’t be hard to get teams to RSVP. The tournament will be limited to 16 teams.
