Entry ID: 1702584 | I was surfing the web recently about my home town of Walthwm, Masssachusetts,and came across this little league website. Looking at the pictures brought back great memories of where I learned the game of baseball and other valuable lessons of life, like making friends and team work, and having fun playing baseball with and against my elementry school friends. Back then we played with real wood bates and the minor league teams were real minor league team names from around the United States. Like Portland, Hollywood etc. I played on the minor league Hollywood team, and played for the Twins in the major league. In 1963 we won the major league title. We had our banquet at Wal-Lex complex that year. I went to Mc Arthur Elementry School. I now coach my 8 year old twin boys, a lefty and a righty, who are RED SOX FANS..Thanks for memories NWBL - " The Best Time of My Life " |
