Played back in 1989 for the Cubs at age 8! Coaches Walter (Dad), Earl, Linda, Ed, and Larry. I can remember catching a pop fly with my eye. Only shiner of my life.

I pitched the very first game at what was then called Bailey Field. My dad was one of the many dads instrumental in getting the field built. I played with Lenny Scott there and with Kelly Post.

I played for Northwood Baseball League year 1959, at the time it was located on Hillen Rd. & Coldspring La. across from Mongan State. The following year it move to Argonne Drive at the back until the field up front was completed. Peace Leonard.

I played for Northwood back in the mid-late 70's. The league was one thing that kept me busy and off the streets. I'm glad it's still around!!!

Really good website that you have. Was a player from summer 1986 to 1990. Played for the softball crickets, kittens, and the stars. But I've noticed that the league is having trouble with getting enough girls to join for this year, so I'm putting the word out there. If anyone has a girl interested in playing softball for next year *April 2011-'12* (because it's kind of late in the season for the teams to be implemented for this year), please dont hestitate to call the numbers for KK, Tony or Bobby that are displayed on this website. We love to watch our boys play, but it's just as enjoyable to watch the girls play some baseball as well. Thanks alot!!

Great to discover the website. Will share it with resident leaders of the Northeast Community Organization (NECO) just in case they are not familiar. We all are anticipating the expanded and improve baseball field the League in partnership with Morgan State University has developed plans. The NBL is a wonderful community asset. Sincerely, Shirl Byron Executive Director NorthEast Development Alliance, Inc.
