Cory can fix up our stats? Went on to enter our scores from yesterday and I couldn't. Now it has our 2013 record in this years standings??? No idea what the hell I did? We lost 8-2 and lost 1-0. Thanks

Good luck to all teams as we start our 2014 schedule. As a clarification, there are no tie games in the NSIBL They have to be played to completion. The tie that was mentioned earlier concerns standings at the end of the schedule where we would apply the BNS tie breaking rules. Barry Anderson

Teams that don't have their rosters up to date will have to go in and up date the roster for 2014 in order to enter stats. If you need help just let me know. Thanks

Make sure you notice the dates on the schedule because there are a bunch of Saturday games and a few week day games. Only Hantsport plays all Sunday games.

No Tim they are not AAA yet. Kennetcook said they are pretty sure they will stay A and Shelburne said they won't know what they are until July.

New standings rule. 2pts for a win, 1pt for a game played. Any ties will be decided by the BNS tie rule.

Nice to we are getting off to a good start this year! Haha. I'm not sure what you meant by "we are well a where Pictou finished and where they would have finished if they played you guys" BW did spilt with us in 2 games last year. 5-3 and 5-2. So could of went either way. And for home games. I will not play anywhere else but the Albion for my homes games. Which we have a ton of teams on it again!! So deal with it. You guys can meet somewhere to make up games but my homes are always played at Home!

The August 9 weekend was set aside for make up games. You played Windsor that weekend. Maybe we could have played them at the same time.

Call it what you will (uninformed) or not there was a weekend specifically for make up games PERIOD. Only 2 teams played that weekend. Anyways wouldn't points for wins be the best way to do this standings? I know its been discussed in the past I don't know what the reason for not using points was.

I agree. It is a discussion the league should have. This is not the first time that games played have had an effect on the standings. But we can have that discussion without making accusations or voicing your (uninformed) opinion on how many games we should have played.

Just like we played Windsor in kentville not a home game but some teams are into getting their games in. I don't care what your excuses are or if you take offense to it. We are well a where pictou finished and where they would have finished if they played you guys. Again I don't care what your reason is for not making up games the problem is there is no incentive to make your games up. Yes your bang on you only missed 6 games my bad bro. Teams were given a make up weekend at the beginning of the season for a reason, TO make up games so you could have booked your field well in advance for that weekend. Or maybe you couldn't I don't know. All we are saying is that its a league rule that should be looked at. So what ever that means and how to fix it isn't up to me, but there should be a reason to get all the games in. Wait until this year with the 2 new teams possibly. 28 game schedule its gonna be harder to get all the games in because its looking like ball every weekend. Hope you guys have a full roster this year or are even gonna field a team.

I think your Math is off Gateways. We missed 6 of 22 games not 10 of 26. I don't know where you got that number. And I think you're accusing us of using weather as an excuse to cover up us not having enough players. 4 of the 6 games we missed were road games, meaning that we didn't even make the call to cancel them. We worked with the three teams we rained out against it couldn't make anything work. And I think if you asked them you'd find that there were weekends that didn't work for us and weekends that didn't work for them. It was never us trying to duck games. So I take offense to your accusation. Also, if you want to do some more math, find out what would have happened to the standings if we made up our games with Pictou and the swept us. They would have been in the playoffs not you. So why haven't we heard this complaint from them????? Because they know we tried to make up the games. Here's a quote from Matt from Pictou County on this Guest book on August 19th: "Just to let everyone know. Bridgewater tried many times to make up our games but there is 6 teams using our field so next to impossible to get field time after all schedules in. Also the make up weekend our field was booked for midget a playdowns. They even asked if we could meet somewheres else to make up those games. But I didn't like that idea becuase thats not a home games to me. Just my feelings on that." Get some facts before you come on here and spew a bunch of BS.

Nope no sneaky backhanded comments at all, 16 games played out of what 26? if I do the math that's 10 games or 5 weekends. if you had said you had trouble fielding a full team I could see that or couldn't book a field something other than using rain for an excuse or bad NOVA SCOTIAN weather. I think I looked it up and you guys missed more games than any other Nova Scotian team in all leagues in the whole province all season.

Sneaky backhanded jab at the Bulldogs there Gateway. We try and make games up as best we can, weather didn't cooperate for us more than a few times last year, and we don't all have lights on our fields which makes it easier to make up missed games. It's Nova Scotia, games get rained out, it sucks, but there are only so many Sunday afternoons in the season, and only a couple of free ones outside of the normal schedule. Put in a good word with Cindy Day or Frankie MacDonald for 2014.

League Meeting April 6th at 1pm in Hantsport, I m not sure if a place for the meeting has been confirmed. 2 new teams to possibly be added. I also think that we need to talk about the current format for making the league playoffs. Should a team really make the play offs with 6 wins and 16 total games played and a team yes like the Gateways who had 8 wins in 22 games played not make the playoffs? That needs to be looked at in our opinion. We all know how hard some teams try or try not to make games up.
