Thanks for a great meet. Sarah said this was her favorite meet this year, even better than Tiffin Carnival, and we all look forward to next year. She loved the fast course, knocked 57 sec. off her PR! Very impressed with the quality of runners. The host hotel was great.

Booked a room at your mentioned hotel only to find out it was the wrong hotel for our team. Called them back 10 minutes after I booked and they want to charge a 25 dollar fee. You need to find a better hotel to sponsor! Watch out for floaters in the pool when I get in!

Carolyn, I appreciate your comments so much and wish others would give us the same positive feedback. We want this event to be something that kids, coaches and fans look forward to every year. We will work hard to improve it as well. Next year the city the athletes are from will be listed on the display board along with their name and time. I wish we would have thought of it before this year, but next year for sure. As for the announcer he has a degree in communications and has worked professionally for WERT radio as a color commentator as well as writer for the Times Bulletin newspaper. In addition to that he is a world class distance runner who understands the sport and we are proud to have him annouce our events. Dublin is a great place for the meet and we look forward to being back next year. Jim Clay Meet Director

Dear Mr. Clay, I was in attendance on Sunday, October 26 for the State Middle School track meet. I felt you might be interested in some thoughts I had after the event. I realize that this is only the second year that Coffman hosted and know you would want to improve the event each year. A few suggestions for you are: 1. A definite need to keep the track clear(especially) at the finish line). 2. An announcer with some background in announcing(perhaps one of our young TV or radio jocks would love the exposure and agree to do this. 3.At the presentation after the event when awards are given the name, age, and school or city represented would definitely add alot to the whole WIN idea and I think the audience would enjoy knowing that too. 4.Many families traveled some distance to attend and they should be recognized, thanked for their attendance and support. The students had to pay an entry fee, and also admission was charged so I know they want to be there. Just an acknowledgement would be a grand gesture. In closing,I am very proud that Dublin can shine in this way. It did bring alot of attention to the city and the community and for that we can be very proud. Thank you for all you are doing to help these young people grow in so many ways. Most sincerely, Carolyn Marolf Former teacher- Dublin City Schools

Great meet on Sunday! Very well organized, and it always helps when the weather cooperates. All my athletes enjoyed their races, and posted some really great times. Good job!

Dear Dublin Parent, We live 2 1/2 hours from Dublin and don't get home till late, makes it difficult to get them posted the same day. But results are online today.

You really should post your results immediately like most cross country events do. Almost all invitational and state-related meets are posting their results the SAME day.

Is there a fee to enter the gates to watch the participants? My nephew is participating and I'd like to be able to watch with his parents.

The race will begin on the practice field to the left of the stadium. This will take care of the one small problem we had last year. Hope to see you there!

Please don't start 100 kids on an 8 lane track again this year. There is plenty of room at Dublin Coffman for a wider and much safer start.

Would athletes prefer to have music playing through-out the entire race or just at the start?

The meet was fantastic, very well organized and pleasant hosts. I know the kids enjoyed the day with friendly competitors and especially, the fun music which lead to some interesting and creative dance moves between races and on the staring line. Carly had so much fun, we stayed to cheer on her friends in 8th grade. She just started running in August and already looks forward to next year. Thanks for a great day.
