2024 Spring Baseball Season Dates and Important Information

Rep Meetings - Meetings are held at The Sports Factory of the Lehigh Valley at 7pm (unless otherwise noted).

*If there is an even number of teams, all teams will play at 1pm on Opening Day. If there is an odd number of teams, one team will not play.

**The T-Ball and Grasshopper divisions do not have an end-of-season tournament, coaches do not need to attend.

Notice: There may be additional dates for playoff games during the week. Depending on the number of teams, there may be “pigtail” games before the first weekend and/or loser bracket games before the second weekend.

Spring 2024 Eligibility Rules:

Biddy	Cannot turn 11 before May 1, 2024	May 1, 2013 - April 30, 2015
Midget	Cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2024	May 1, 2011 - April 30, 2013
Knee-Hi	Cannot turn 16 before May 1, 2024	May 1, 2008 - April 30, 2011
Majors	Cannot turn 19 before July 1, 2024	July 1, 2005 - April 30, 2008

Team Fees:

T-Ball - FREE

Grasshopper - $55 per team

Biddy and Midget Divisions - $165 per team

Knee-Hi and Majors Divisions - $185 per team

Umpire Fees:

Majors division - $65 per umpire

All other divisions - $60 per umpire

Approved Baseballs:

T-Ball - Must be Level 1 official T-Ball

Grasshopper - Must be a RIF-5 ("Minor League")

All other divisions - Any official baseball (Rawlings, Little League, Diamond, etc.)

Spring Season Specific Rules:

Game Time Limits - No weekday (Sunday-Thursday) inning shall start after 7:45 pm

All Biddy games have a 2:15 time limit on weekends.

Mercy Rule - If the visiting team is ahead at any point by the mercy rule, the home team always has the last at-bat of that particular inning.

4 1/2 innings qualify as a complete game

Tournaments -

National League - Single Elimination

American League and Majors - Double Elimination

Information for all PYL Coaches

Just as a reminder, the winning team is to report all final game scores and pitching within 24 hours of the completion of a game. The opposing coach has 24 hours after the posting to dispute any information regarding the game.
