The Cheetahs Win !!

Christ Church School (CCS) proved they are truly a powerhouse in the SAC Conferencence 7 on 7 Flag Football. Not only were they the defending champions but they played the entire season and post season undefeated. In the finals against the number 2 seed Somerset Academy Pines, the CCS Cheetahs  completly dominated in a comfortable 24-13 victory.  Kudos must go out to Coach Carl Sallade and his staff for the excellent job they're doing with these young students. However it should be noted that Somerset Academy Pines are also two times champions of this league and have reached the finals every year except one and we know that they will be coming back strong again next year.    

The Year of Repeats in Basketball 

It was a total dominance from the defending champions of our three divisions in basketball. All three teams completed the season without a single defeat. Abundant Life Christian won the 6th Grade girls division for the 4th straight year, while Somerset Academy repeated as champions in the elementary boys division and Westminster Academy repeated in the 6th grade Boys division. The Southern Athletic Conference is greatful for all 17 teams who took park in the league. 

SAC CUP  

Abundant Life won their 3rd SAC Cup in SAC history this past Thursday in front of the largest SAC Cup finals crowd ever in a narrow 1-0 victory against Christ Church School. 

The Abundant Life Eagles goal was scored by 5th grader Samuel Collantes in the 12th minute. It was Christ Church School second straight finals which ended in defeat. Both schools are from the league's district 2 in soccer with Abundant Life defeating Highlands Christian in the semi finals and Christ Church School doing the same against the defending champions St Paul Lutheran 

It was a great 13th  year/season for the 10 schools who competed for the coveted prize.
