We celebrated and reflected back on the 2009 Rugby season...and a great season it was. Beginning with our U8's, U10's our u14'S and then there's the U12 Central Conference Champions who were the 2009 Fullerton Tournament Champions, and then were crowned the Southern California U12 Division Champions...undefeated all season long. What a season! But can you imagine, what's going down for the Spartan family in 2010? Anyways, it was a memorable evening of fun, great food, and music, and a whole alot of great dancers in the family. THANK YOU AGAIN to the Board of Directors, coaches, team mothers, parents, and especially our SPARTAN PLAYERS! Great job and don't ever forget...N.U.T.S....Never Underestimate the Spartans! The South Bay April 3, 2009 10:42:21 PM Entry ID: 1598813 | Congratulations to our six boys: Wessen, Juju, Manu, Max, Manasseh and Trevor for making the Jr Griffins squad for the North. Our boys along with other selected players will compete in the North vs South game during the U19 finals. Congratulations to coach Clif for being selected as the Jr Griffin North's head coach. Last Sunday our boys attended try-outs at Back Bay's field in Newport Beach, coaches and ex-Eagle players evaluated and scored each player according to their rugby abilities. 66 kids attended but only 44 were selected, 22 for the North & 22 for the South. The level of talent and experience from all these young "ruggers" was amazing! Good luck and all the best. We are very proud and honored to have you guys as our representatives. Go Spartans....& Go Jr Griffins North ! ! ! ! ! |
