Entry ID: 1671165 | I understand that SWS is no longer doing a fall league. If this is true why is it still up on the main page? Also - in looking through the rest of the main page i see a headline about the teams winning in memorial weekend. WHY ON EARTH IS THIS STILL UP LIKE IT'S NEWS. It should have been put as a link on the side. It seems to me that whoever runs the website CANT or doesn't know how to keep it updated. Get with the program and give update on who won what division how the district all stars did and "UPCOMING" events. i still see "coaches certification " listed for the upcoming 2009 season. I urge to to please get another person to work the website it's disgraceful being from this area and seeing negligence like this. |

Entry ID: 1655565 | Sayre Woods South Little League brings back great memories in my young life. In 1962 I hit 10 Home Runs in a 20 Games season, batted over 500 hundred on a team that finished in last place. |

It's good to hear from you after all these years -- since 1965, as I recall. Allan NOrdstrum and Joe Casamento were asking about you.
I'm a wrtier living in South Orange, NJ. I write for the Wall treet Journal and my latest book is Yogi Berra, Eternal Yankee.
Would loe to hear from anyone who remembers the Sayre Woods Little League/Babe Ruth League from 1962-1965. Email me at

Entry ID: 1619214 | I grew up on Margaret St., and played in the brand new SWS Little League from 1960 - 1962. I could throw, run, catch with the best of them -- but must have been the worst hitter in the league. But it was all fun, and I'm delighted to see the league still thriving. |

Entry ID: 1263051 | Check out thr surrounding websites like the Manalapan website. Big Nick is trying to get people from these other towns to sign up in Old Bridge. Which is it, is the Old Bridge program so bad they have to recruit from out of town? If that's the case no one from Old Bridge should think of participating. Or, does Big Nick think the players from outside of Old Bridge are better than Old Bridge players. Either way, no one from Old Bridge should support this program.

Entry ID: 894200 | My question is what ever happen to the sign that use to hang on the main club house. The one which said Burt Blazer field and listed the district champs. I was a player and coach at SWS and my father started the little league along with several other men. That sign was put there because MR.Blazer was the founder and first president of the little league. Also the sign recognized the 11-12 year old all star team I was a coach of that won the districts won section 3 and played in the NJ state finals. I would love to have that sign re hung.THANK YOU!!! |
