But, we still had a great season on the field. I know that 2009 will be even better. We all have to work together to keep improving the Rebels. See you all at the dinner. |

Entry ID: 1430653 | I wish to take extreme pleasure in welcoming the SWS Rebels to the New Jersey Suburban Youth Football League for their inaugural 2008 season! These are exciting times for all your players and cheerleaders. The league is designed for fun participation, but our football ranks with the best. By joining the NJSYFL they have become part of a cohesive, full participant for change and growth for Old Bridge.
Their 8th graders will be allowed to play in their first ever ALL STAR GAME, where 6 players are chosen to play in a North-South game format for all The A.D.'s of their local high schools.
At each leavel the playoffs will be against teams of their own size and with a chance of bringing home a (tangible) trophy to be displayed within your community.
Your executive board has been upfront in their honesty and foremost with their intentions of setting up and providing a valuable future for ALL kids in all sizes in Old Bridge to be able to play football. I firmly believe that with the joining of the NJSYFL and SWS REBELS the future is great. Once again congratulations and I also wish the other teams within the Old Bridge football system great success.
My email is attached and I will gladly answer any and all questions from anyone!
Good Football,
Russell J. Yeager

I have received your reply/post to Denis. I don't want you to think it is being ignored. Against Denis' wishes, I am respectfully requesting that the two of you take this discussion off-line. It seems like a personal issue and I don't see the need to discuss it in this public forum. I have forwarded your message to his personal email. I might be over-ruled at some point, but for now, that is my request.

Entry ID: 1375701 | Kelly,
Thank you for your post. Unfortunately, the Rebels were not notified of any of the children that received recognition from Pop Warner this year. We are relying on their parents to let us know. In fact, the SWS Rebel kids are not listed on their regional page at all.
Please know that no child was intentionally overlooked. Upon receipt of your post here and an email received from Jack Cocozziello we now realize there were more than just the two children we had initially heard about. Kim Bell is currently going through National Pop Warner to determine who else there was.
I understand Jake also received a letter and we will add him immediately. If you have a picture you would like added, please send it to me. Tell him congratulations on his accomplishment from all of us!
In addition, to anyone else who's child received a letter: please let me know and indicate if you are going to the ceremony in Orlando because the Rebels are providing a small stipend to help defray the costs associated with the trip.
Kelly, thank you for making us aware of this issue.

Entry ID: 1374897 | Congratulations to Michael and Mary Jane for receiving their awards from National Pop Warner! you worked very hard on and off the field and you deserve to be recognized for your accomplishments. However, what about the other Rebel boys and girls that received awards and honorable mention? Why don't they receive equal credit for all their hard work? I personally would like to extend my congratulations to ALL the Rebel girls and boys who received awards and recognition from Pop Warner. You worked hard and you deserve lots of praise!!! Keep up the great work! |

Entry ID: 1374003 | Why would you think this would not get posted Tony? We at the Rebels do not hide things. The only time something does not get posted is when someone gets attacked on the site or says something bad about a person or the Rebels. This site is not for things like that. I got a call about this and told them yes put it up so I tell the truth about what happened 2 years ago. Kim and I should not be ashamed for what we are doing. I ask you, what is wrong with fighting for the Rebels Association? Is this not the right thing to do when someone does something unjustly? Do you not teach your kids to stand up for what they think is right? I know that is what I teach me kids. Lets talk about what happen 2 years ago. We had some meetings with all three teams and after one you and I talked outside in the parking lot in town hall. We shook hand and said if the Cougars do not want part of this let try to do it with the Rebels and Rams. I have said that this happened all along. But what I have tried not to say is what happen in the few months after that. We had set up a meeting with both Rams and Rebels parents. We said the meeting would mandatory, no kids and no practice. What did you and the Rams do? You did not make it mandatory, there were kids there and you had practice. I called you on the phone and you told me you were stuck in traffic. I was told before you got there you were at your field closeing it up from practice. At the meeting you said nothing until I made you get up and talk. You then at one of your meetings told your board and parents to get on the Rebels web site and attack me and they did. Not just me but my whole family. At that point talks stoped with the Rams about any merge. This is all facts Tony and you know it as well as I do. Then what happens in 2007? The Rams new President is telling everyone that the reason the Rams have no kids is because of my son. Who is 11 by the way. He tells not only other teams in CJPW but a board member who comes to the Rebels field to tell me. Again fact. This is not about power I could careless about that. As I told you and others all I want to do is coach. I don't care who would run the Old Bridge Jr Knights when all three teams merge in to one. It seem to me that this is about power because the Rebels offered the Rams two spots on our board but were turned down. Why? I can only guess the Rams would not have any power then. Yes I have seen many board members from the Rams come and go. The Rebels board has been many of the some people over the years. As for the new league the Rebels are looking in to, you do not know anything about it so why would you call it "lame"? Yes, the Rebels do have a good football program but we also have a good cheer program. If I loose respect from some people for fighting for what I think is right, then I never want their respect in the first place. Tony, this will be posted and stay up so you don't have to print it out and show people only part of it like you have done with my e mails in the past. Have a nice day. Denis Kilduff |

Entry ID: 1371559 | Denis and Kim,
You should both be ashamed to let this happen. I know you wouldn't dare post this pubically so I am going to say this knowing that you will both read it.
Denis, you shook my hand as a gentleman and said "Even though the Cougars don't want to merge, we will continue" What happened?
It is my opinion the real reason you don't want to start a new team is because you thik would loose your power. This is only partially and temporarily true.
But you are being so short sighted. How many different OB Rams board memebers have you seen in your many years?? Not even close as many Rebels board members. You guys have been doing this for many many years, you have staying power. You have a great football program, we have a great cheer program and the longer you wait, the more kids go to the Cougars. They are licking their chops that we are not getting this going. They sent out flyers in every Old Bridge School with the words "Serving all of Old Bridge"
Think about it. If you help with the new league, bide your time, you would have it all. Do you think Allan Marcus will be president in a few years? Not a chance! Every board member on the Rams has only been on there for a few years. The board will continue to turn over and the ones left standing?? Yep, the ones who are patient and slowly take over.
It's just a matter of time and you will have it all.
Don't delay this any longer, you can make this happen and it can all turn around. But if you hold out, join some lame youth football league, you'll eventually loose your kids.
We went down this path 2 years ago if you remember. The only close league is Marlboro and after that you will have to travel pretty far. They don't have a great cheer program either.
Please think about it. Befoe it's too late and you loose people's respect. We can make this happen with teamwork, and that is what we can show our kids. Not to hate but to overcome adversity with comassion and teamwork.
What an awesome league we would have, don't you think? |
