Entry ID: 1733359 | I played baseball at Tecolote from 1981-1990. We had some great times there and most of us are still in touch to this day. As a matter of fact a large group still live in the neighborhood. I'm interested in gathering some of our own Tecolote history for the website. We've got some great stories. pictures, old hats, jackets and trophies. My father still has our Bronco 1888 all-star completed bracket board where we lost our first game of the tournament only to win the next seven games in a row beating arch rival La Jolla twice in a double header to win the tournament. We took it all the way to the West Zone Tourney that year. I can give "Where are they now" info and a list of successful alumni making a difference right here in San Diego. Please pass my info to Everett Mauger or the current historian to contact me regarding the Tecolote History page.
Thanks,
Danny Mac |

Entry ID: 1518193 | To Coaches Jim,Paul and Tim,
You guys did an incredible job in keeping that Pinto team
focused and motivated during this year's Turkey Bowl (2008). You three put so much pressure on those other teams and didn't let up one bit. As a result, you guys led this group of athletes to four wins by mercy rule and a sweet come from behind win in the championship game. Thank you very much. To the parents of those players, thanks for putting aside vacations and trips to make this '08 Turkey Bowl victory happen. Thank you to the hard core Tecolote fans as well. Go Tecolote! |

Entry ID: 1393473 | CONGRATS TO THE KIDS WHO WON THE PINTO CHAMPIONSHIP OVER THE WEEKEND. I ENJOYED WATCHING THEIR GAMES, HOWEVER, I CAN'T SAY THE SAME THING FOR THE COACH. I'M NOT ALONE IN MY ASSESSMENT OF HIS COACHING TECHNIQUES FOR BOYS! HE WAS OFFENSIVE IN HIS BEHAVIOR AND LANGUAGE. HE'S A BULLY AND A LOUDMOUTH. I SPOKE TO HIM AFTER ONE OF THE GAMES AND EXPRESSED MY DISAPPOINTMENT. HE SAID THE PARENTS LOVE HIM AND THAT NO ONE HAS EVER SAID THAT TO HIM BEFORE. WELL, I THINK THAT'S BECAUSE THEY'RE AFRAID OF HIM. THESE ARE JUST KIDS THAT HE'S COACHING AND HE ACTS LIKE THEY'RE BIG LEAGUE PLAYERS. LIGHTEN UP, COACH. STOP YELLING. IT'S OBNOXIOUS. YOU NEED TO SET AN EXAMPLE FOR THESE KIDS, AFTER ALL, YOU ARE THE ADULT, I THINK.

Entry ID: 781352 | Congratulations to the guys in the pony division this year for kicking some butt. I was a part of the team in 1991 that won the world series in mustang, it still is one of the most fun times I've ever had. Fortunately baseball has led me from the fields of Tecolote to the professional level with the Washington Nationals. Keep your dreams alive and keep playing baseball and most of all have fun. Enjoy eachother and the laughs and tears you have, you'll remember it forever. GO TEC ALWAYS!!!!! |
