Tickets are $5.00 and are being sold during all West HS lunches, at the pep rally on Friday, and at the game! There were plenty of big hits today and nobody is practicing half speed. These guys are impressive with everyone giving 100% Very sorry to hear about our Principal, Mr. LaFavers stepping down. He cares a great deal for the Students and the Teachers on his team. Good luck to you Mr. LaFavers and thank you for all your effort helping get Victoria West High School on the right track. Well scrimmage tommorrow, but they'll probably be finished before I get off work. Great job today Warriors!!! |

Victoria April 19, 2010 9:48:36 PM Entry ID: 1782463 | Wow!!! I was lucky to be able to attend the first official Warrior Football Booster Club meeting tonight. I met Coaches McAngus, Williams, and Boyce. All are fantastic people that are very easy to get excited about. Plans are under way to have a second meeting on April 26 at 7:00 pm at the Memorial Senior Campus in the cafeteria. Everyone need to attend. Officer nomination will be made at this meeting. Richard Rodriguez arranged tonights meeting and it went very well. There were approximately 40 persons in attendance. Coach McAngus gave a very insirational speech and a nomination committee was elected. See you all at the next meeting!!!! April 26th at 7 pm... Be there Warriors!!! |

New coaches have been assigned, we have a new Athletic Director, and I have heard that Coach McAngus has begun talking to prospective West Warrior Football players. I'm not 100% sure but I believe he has set up his temporary office at the Stroman campus, while we await the completion of VWHS. We will continue to make changes to the website as information is received. Thank you to those who have added comments here. There is still no word as to how VISD intends to set up the Booster Clubs. It may be one club for all activities or as it is currently. Can anyone tell me when this cold wet weather is going to end??? |

I will continue to monitor the activities of the school board, keep my ear open for information and update the website as needed. Thank you for taking a look at the site and hopefully we will all get together sometime this summer as we prepare for the new schools. Once the Administrators share their plan for the new schools booster clubs, we should be able to organize a meeting and move forward. Thank you again for your comments and feel free to browse the site and offer advice or ideas to improve it. It may very well one day become official. |
