8 week Pre-Season Conditioning Program
This is an optional program!! It focuses on 3 areas in 3 progressive steps over an 8 week time frame.

This is guidance for pre-season conditioning if your child is interested in improving their fitness level. Every child will begin at a vast level of fitness. No matter how physically fit or not your child is, your coach will work with them. There aren't try outs!

We started this program this year after researching football injuries. Basically I found "improved fitness reduces the risk of injuries. That's true in any sport. And soccer had more injuries than any other sport.

Also, the conditioning week is a big wake up call. We see more kids wanting to quit week one!! It's because they are running and drilling and they get sore! DON'T LET THEM QUIT!!

Better yet, try to prepare them for the conditioning.

This program covers 3 main areas, (1) warmup endurance, (2) cardio performance and recovery, and (3)core/upper extremity strength. There are goals per area. If your child needs work in any area, please download the 8 week program broken into 3 progressive steps. Please don't move to the next level before they are ready.

And remember, if it isn't fun,,, please stop! We want kids to be healthy and happy. Don't risk injury at home by pushing them too hard. It's recreational football. We won't have college scouts out to see the games. And remember,

FUN, FRIENDS, FITNESS
