League Requirements
Requirements of Capital Beltway League American Conference Clubs
I. Application for Acceptance
1. Submit written application for acceptance, by May of the current year
2. Upon Invite to CBLAC Board of Directors Meeting, submit the following to the board:
a. Proof of establishment (12 months of existence and/or played at least one season in a bona-fide league in the area)
b. Proof of Incorporation
c. Proof of Non-Profit status (501(c) 3)
d. Proof of Insurance
e. Minimum of 5 core teams to qualify for the American Division; specifically Mighty Mite,Cadet,Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Midget &
f. $250 Deposit (credited toward league fees for the current year)
g. Identification of uniform colors
h. Satisfactory game field secured
i. New clubs are barred from acquiring players from other CBLAC organizations for the 1st year.
II. Upon Acceptance to the League
1. Identify a commissioner and assistant commissioner
2. Submit contact information for commissioner and assistant commissioner to the secretary, to include: name, phone #’s (H,W,C), address, email
3. The commissioner’s address will be used as a billing address unless otherwise noted
4. Identify teams and head coaches by May of the current year
5. All coaches must be NYSCA certified
6. If you require liability insurance through the league, a $500 deposit toward premiums for the current season must be paid by July 1st
III. Administrative Requirements
1. Submit for placement on the CBL’s web site:
a. Your organization’s web link
b. Club logo
c. “Specific” directions to your game field from east & west
d. Location of your practice field
e. On site registration information (dates/times)
f. Clinics/camps you will offer (description/date/times/contact)
2. CBLAC Database
a. The CBLAC uses a customized Microsoft Access database for administrative purposes. There is an accompanying users manual. You will need Microsoft Office 2000 or better to use the database (to include Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint)
b. Each club will receive a personalized copy for their use in generating the required reports to the CBL. These include:
• Player rosters (must include jersey #’s) emailed to the secretary *DUE BY GAME TWO OF CURRENT SEASON*
• Coaches report (must include USA certification for all head coaches) emailed to the secretary *Due prior to the first league practice date*
• Weigh In Sheets (must be brought to the 1st weigh in)
• Game Sheets (must be brought to each game)
c. Training – it is the commissioner’s responsibility to ensure that all reports are submitted correctly and on time. If he or his assigned administrative people require training on the database, they should make arrangements with the Secretary of the league.
