What parents should know about Little League Insurance:
The AIG Little League Insurance Program is designed to afford protection to all participants at the most economical cost to the local league. It can be used to supplement other insurance carried under a family policy or insurance provided by parent’s employer. If there is no other coverage, AIG Little League Insurance – which is purchased by the league, not the parent – takes over and provides benefits, after a $50 deductible per claim for all covered injury treatment costs up to the maximum stated benefit.
This plan makes it possible to offer exceptional, low-cost protection with assurance to parents that adequate coverage is in force at all times during the season.
We receive several requests each year for safety information and accident claim forms. These forms are located in each manager's handbook.
The three documents are:
Attachment 1 - AIG Insurance Information Overview -subtitled, 'What Parents Should Know about Little League Insurance.'
Attachment 2 - Accident Notification Form AIG.pdf - Is the actual notification form that needs to completed by the parent, with the manager's help/input. Why? Because the Manager, in almost every case is a witness to the event and should describe exactly what happened in 4 sentences or less.
Attachment 3 - Claim Form Instructions.pdf - Pretty much self explanatory. Read it to figure out what is expected by the insurance company to accept / process your claim.
