  • Coaches AACo. Background Check Form
    All coaches, assistant coaches, or any adult who will be in the dugout MUST complete this background check! The $7 fee can be reimbursed upon request.

  • Coach's Certification Clinics
    All Softball coaches and assistant coaches must be certified with Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks. The clinics are free, and certification is valid for three years and good for all County recreational sports. For information about upcoming certification clinics, visit the A.A. County Parks and Recreation site at www.aacounty.org/RecParks/ (click on "Sports Leagues", then "Coaches Clinic Schedules" in the drop down box.)

    The next available Coach Certification Clinic will be held: March 8. Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. Clinic begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. at OLD MILL HIGH SCHOOL

  • National Youth Sports Coaches Association- Online Clinics
    All coaches can be certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA). NYSCA is a subdivision of the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS). All coaches can participate in an online two-part interactive clinic. The first part of the clinic is the Introduction to Coaching Youth Sports video, which is designed to sensitize coaches to their roles and responsibilities in youth sports and hold them accountable to a Code of Ethics Pledge. The second part of the clinic involves viewing a softball video covering the fundamentals of the game and practice drills. Crofton Softball coaches are committed to making softball fun, safe, and positive for kids! The $20 fee can be reimbursed upon request.

  • Coaches Code of Ethics
    This is the Coaches Code of Ethics form adopted by the Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation Department. It also contains a Sports Code of Conduct for players, coaches and parents/guardians.
