Greetings Soccer Fans!
The HEAT represents Herndon Youth Soccer (HYS) in Northern VA. We compete seasonally in the Washington Area Girls League (WAGS) and are currently ranked 19th in Region I by US Club Soccer ... www.nationalsoccerranking.com/girls_u11.htm . The HEAT will be playing in the U12 age group for the 2008/2009 Fall and Spring seasons. We will also participate in the Cardinal Cup, Dulles National Soccer Tournament and WAGS Tournament this fall and the Arlington Invitational, Jefferson Cup and Virginian tournaments next spring.
HEAT Tryouts
The Herndon HEAT, a top WAGS team (rising U-12) is looking for dedicated players committed to reaching their full potential and taking their game to a higher level in a competitive and fun environment. The HEAT is one of the upper-tier WAGS teams in the area and plays year-round, emphasizing individual skills and development within a tactical team setting. The HEAT is professionally trained/coached by Ramón Madan, who holds a USSF "A" coaching license and is a USSF Grade 6 'State' Referee. The HEAT will be hosting open tryouts as follow :
1. Friday 6 June ... 5:00-6:30pm @ Fox Mill Elementary School
2. Monday 9 June ... 5:00-6:30pm @ Hutchison Elementary School new turf field #4
3. Wednesday 11 June ... 5:00-6:30pm @ Fox Mill Elementary School
4. Friday 13 June ... 5:00-6:30pm @ Fox Mill Elementary School

HEAT Wins 2007 Cardinal Cup

The HEAT had an impressive start to their 2007 Fall Season by winning the Cardinal Cup this past weekend. The HEAT played in the Elite bracket against some great competition from the Loudoun Soccer 96 Red (Pride), SASA Fusion Blue, VSA Heat Blue and the Arlington Ajax. The HEAT went an impressive 3-0-1, allowing no goals the entire tournament. The games were Heat-3 vs. Arlington Ajax-0, Heat-1 vs. Loudoun Red (Pride)-0, Heat-1 vs. SASA Fusion Blue-0, and a 0-0 tie in their final game against the VSA Heat Blue. We would like to thank all of the teams for a great competitive soccer weekend! Next up...Dulles National Soccer Tournament!
