Hit and Run

Before softball, I did not like sports. Even though I had played Soccer and Volleyball, I didn’t know what it meant to “love a sport.” Desperate to find out, I started softball. From day one, I loved softball, everything about it: The ring of the bat, the roar of the crowd, the thrill of catching pop flies. Best of all, I loved being on and playing with a team. I learned a lot of things playing softball. But one thing stands out overall. I now know what it means to “love a sport” because now I do. I love softball.
