2008 Spring Vipers
July 21, 2008 --
Congradulations to the Denton Vipers for another great season.
The Vipers finished 2nd at the AAYBA World Series ending the season with a record of 36 wins, 19 lost, 5 ties. The Vipers finished 3rd in the NTI select league and won 2 tournaments.

Congratulations to the Denton Vipers for placing 1st in the February 21st, 2008 USSSA TNT 13U AAA Spring Blast Off Tournament at Lewisville Lake Park in Lewisville ,Texas. Denton Vipers played 5 games only allowing 21 runs for the tournament and finished undefeated.

2006 Christmas Toy Tournament
Denton Vipers played 2 games in the 3rd Annual TOY Tournament on December 9th benefiting Christian Community Action (CCA). The Vipers won one game and lost one game. This unique event allowed teams ages 7-14 the opportunity to share in the Christmas spirit while playing baseball. Thanks to Flower Mound Youth Sports Association for hosting this great event and Thanks to the umpires from the North Texas Sports Officials who volunteered their time to allow all proceeds to benefit CCA. This event brought in over 550 toys for local special children this holiday season.

Denton Vipers place 1st
Congratulations to the Denton Vipers for placing 1st in the November 18th, 2006 Super Series Tournament at the Ballfields at Craig Ranch in McKinney Texas. Denton Vipers played 4 games only allowing 7 runs for the tournament and finished undefeated.
Vipers played 6 tournaments this fall season, (4) 1st place, (1) 2nd place, and (1) 3rd place.

Denton Vipers take 1st place at USSSA Zone Tournament
Congratulations to the Denton Vipers for placing 1st in the November 4th USSSA Fall North Zone Tournament at Plano Texas. Vipers went 4-1 for the weekend and earned a berth to the 2007 World Series in July.

The Jim McNatt Auto Group wanted to help their local schools with their yearly fundraising dilemma, so we donated a new vehicle and created a program called, “McNatt Community Support ’06”. This program will assist our local schools with their fundraising efforts and allow those schools to keep 100% of all the funds they raise.
The McNatt Community Support ’06 program will also provide all the raffle tickets and posters for our local schools and their organizations. The tickets will sell for just $1.00 each and the schools and their organizations will keep 100% of the money they raise. They will also determine how to utilize the funds they raise.
The lucky ticket winner will be selected on Saturday, May 13 @ 10 a.m. That winner will be able to select a BRAND NEW ’06 car or truck from Jim McNatt. They can choose a ’06 Honda, Toyota, Dodge, Chevrolet or Scion vehicle with the MSRP of $20,000 or less. Jim McNatt has even agreed to pay the tax, title and license on the vehicle.

Denton Vipers win 2 games in Flower Mound Toy Tournament

Katrina Hurricane Relief Results
The Denton Vipers car wash in support of Katrina victims relief was tremendously successful. In just 4-5 hours of effort we were able raise over $1,350 of badly needed money for the Katrina survivors and evacuees at Camp Copass.
The boys worked hard, even after playing games this weekend, but they knew this was important. Player and parent support was overwhelming and the customers were generous, often simply stopping to give contributions without getting a car wash.
Special thanks to all of the Viper Teams and give an extra cheer to the Bob Preston and his DBBI 8U Royals who graciously helped as well. All of the Viper and DBBI players exhibited some extra heart in this off field effort.

Katrina Hurricane Relief
The Denton Vipers Baseball Clubs are doing their part to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. This Labor Day, September 5th from 9AM to ???. The Vipers will be staging a car wash to raise funds to offer some small relief to those ravaged by this terrible storm.
Please do you part by stopping by the Golden Corral on Loop 288 in Denton. All proceeds raised at this event will be matched by the Frito Lay Corporation.
