Dear Aggie Parent / Guardian:
Although the first game of the 2013 season is months away, it is time to begin preparing for another winning Aggie football season. Our coaching staff is in the process of planning next season, including the Summer Football Camp and Summer Weight Training Program. In an effort to continue improving as a program, the coaching staff will continue with a 7 Standard criteria for all players. Varsity players must meet 4 of the 7 standards to play varsity football. I have enclosed a copy of the standards for your review.
This year, I am pleased to announce that the Varsity football team will once again be attending the SUU football camp in Cedar City, Utah, from June 23rd – June 27th, 2013. The cost of the 2013 football camp is $325.00 – this includes registration fees, lodging, transportation, and meals. Space is limited; therefore, we will only take varsity caliber players who have met the 7 Standard criteria, have paid in full (camp $ due, in full, May 31st), participated in 50 off-season workouts, and have a completed 2013 AVHS Athletic Packet on file. Athletic Packets will be available during the month of May.
The 2013 Summer Weight Training Program will begin on Monday, June 17th, 2013, at 7:00am. The cost of the Summer Weight Training Program will remain at $75.00 per player. This covers all morning workouts for the months of June and July as well as includes an Arbor View Football T-Shirt. The $75.00 summer fee is waived for any player attending SUU Camp. Again for summer of 2013: All players will be required to purchase one item for the concession stand, due Monday June 17th, 2013.
- 11th/12th Graders: Soda - 24ct case of 12 oz cans: D-line: Coke / LBers: Dr. Pepper / DBs: Sprite
- All 10th Graders: Soda - 24ct case of 12 oz cans: D-Line: Coke / LBers: Dr. Pepper / DBs: Mt Dew
- All Freshman: 24ct case of 20 oz Gatorade (fruit punch / lemon-lime / orange Combo Pack ONLY)
- Suggestion: Purchase items at Sam’s Club / Costco / Smart & final
Finally, all players will be required to once again purchase their 2013 Spirit Pack for $125.00. The Spirit Pack will contain: 2 AVHS Football shirts, Mesh Shorts (new 2013 style), Practice Jersey, Backpack, Mouthpiece, and Lock Rental. Spirit Pack money is due August 12th, 2013. Players may not wear their equipment during fall practice without a purchased Spirit Pack. Players will keep all purchased Spirit Pack items at season’s end. Spirit Pack also includes helmet / should pad reconditioning fees.
The total cost for the 2013 Football Camp, Summer Weight Training, and the Spirit Pack is $450.00 ($200.00 for all players who do not attend SUU camp). You may choose to send in the entire amount in one payment; however, I am aware that this is a large outlay of money for families to make at one time. Therefore, I am asking families to begin making payments in the amount of $100.00 per month to cover their player’s expenses. Please enclose your payment (cash or money order) in a sealed envelope with your player’s full name.
You can also find a copy of the summer calendar to help in your planning for your family vacations on our website. Family weeks for the 2013 summer are June 10th – 14th & August 5th – 9th. Please plan accordingly.
