Coach’s Message from Coach Drew Reynolds
Fall Ball has been extremely productive! The players give 110% on and off the field. Their stick skills and understanding for the game has significantly improved under the guidance of our fantastic coaching staff. This season will be exciting, competitive and entertaining! Mark those calendars for the CIF play-offs ~ we're ready to take it to the next level!!! Thanks for all your support.

Spring Season Tryouts – November 18-20
The Boys Lacrosse program holds a maximum 75 players and as the sport grows, we may eventually become a 'cut' sport. At this time, our estimated numbers indicate that tryouts will be more of a 'placement' of Varsity and Junior Varsity players. Prior to trying out players must have physical paperwork clearance into Mike Middlebrook. Physicals are valid for 12 months. Contact mmiddlebrook@capousd.org for info.

Tryouts will be held November 18, 19, and 20th. Players need to be in full gear and ready to step on the field at 3:15 sharp! The tryouts will be broken into 3 groups: Stick skills, speed & agility, and position knowledge. The combination of all three criteria will be factors in deciding which team your player makes - Varsity or JV. Last day of tryout, there will be two scrimmage games JV at 3:30 and Varsity at 5:00, which will test the players’ field knowledge. Location is still pending.

Spring Season Gear Requirements
All NEW players are required to wear the Cascade CPX helmet. Players’ stick mesh must be white, and gloves need to be primarily black.

US Lacrosse Membership Required
Parents/players - current membership to USLacrosse.org is MANDATORY for all players to participate in the spring season. See the link on our website and choose to be included in the group of Wolverine Lacrosse. This is how all of our team and our players get covered by insurance.

Who Do You Know?
Do you know any middle school kids that would enjoy Lacrosse? You know - that kid down the street that throws the ball over your car when you drive by. Please have them contact the Laguna Niguel Vipers. Email Tommy Chancler at LAXPlanet@yahoo.com. Practices will be at Niguel Hills Middle School beginning in December.

Lacrosse Tournament in Orange County – November 21
LXM PRO features a showcase lacrosse game highlighting 40 of the best players in the world, an MCLA game featuring powerhouse Chapman vs. UCSB, live comedy and a BLOWOUT concert event featuring today's hottest artists. For details, visit http://www.lxmpro.com/about.shtml
Meet the Wolverine Lacrosse Coaches At Chili’s - December 7
Meet your coaches and other Lacrosse families for dinner at Chili’s in Aliso Viejo. Simply bring the coupon with you and Wolverine Lacrosse will receive 10% of the evening’s sales. Watch the website for the coupon.

Parent’s Information Night – December 7
Also, on Monday, December 7, in coordination with Meeting the Coaches night at Chili’s, we’re also hosting a Parent’s Information Night in the ANHS Library at 7:00pm. At this meeting, we’ll formally introduce the program and begin to collect fees. See you there!

Winter Break Lacrosse Camp – December 21-23
Save the dates December 21, 22, and 23, 9am-4pm each day. An intensive camp will be directed by the former head coach of San Diego State University. Location will be the Alicia turf field adjacent to the skate park. Cost and registration information will be available in late November.

Powell’s Sweet Shoppe Gift Certificates
Fall Ball Players will receive five $5 gift certificates to Powell’s Sweet Shoppe. These gift certificates can be sold for the face value of $5 in order to recoup part of your fall season player fee, or you can keep them to use yourself. It’s a sweet deal any way you look at it!

2010 Buick Invitational Golf Tickets
As we did last year, each Wolverine Lacrosse player will receive golf tickets to sell for the Buick Invitational Golf Tournament which takes place January 25th – 31st at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego. The tickets make great holiday gifts for family, friends, colleagues, etc. Selling the golf tickets is a great way for each player to offset his player fees. The initial ticket distribution will take place during the Chili’s Restaurant Night on December 7th. Please contact Ruthie Weiss with any questions at weissfamily2@cox.net.

Support Our Troops
Wolverine Lacrosse players are going to collect supplies to Support Our Troops. Each player will sign up for one three-hour shift in front of WalMart, or Vons to hand out lists and collect supplies which will be sent to our troops. We need parent volunteers who can spend a few hours on collection dates to over see the players and mail the items the following week. Please contact Rhondi at rsi.rhondi@gmail.com if you can help. Please watch the website for more information.

Thank you!
Wolverine lacrosse sends a big, big, big thank you to its taste for Aliso Niguel silent auction donors! Thank you to: Powell’s Sweet Shoppe, Michelle Dale and Silpada, Mitch Diamond, Shaylene Ozuna and Parks Salon, Suzanne McKnight Of Hi’ya Tootz And Sage Salon, And Qj Jewelry Design. With your help we raised enough money to purchase our new sound system! Also, a big thank you goes to Vicki Bond and Tina Diamond for stepping up and helping with the auction the day of the event.

Save the Date – May 26, 2010
The Wolverine Lacrosse banquet is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26th.

Calling All Volunteers - We Need Your Help!

Your Wolverine Booster Club, Executive Board & Board of Directors are comprised entirely of unpaid volunteers. We are here to promote good sportsmanship, assist our Head Coach and his staff, and support the amazing sport of Lacrosse and all the athletes and families who participate. We are extremely proud our program and all who are associated with it.

There are plenty of opportunities for parents to get involved. We have many areas in which you can assist. If you are interested in getting more involved with your son's lacrosse program, please contact Ruthie Weiss at weissfamily2@cox.net. Thank you.
