Frost Team Awards 2008-2009
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spent 30 min. typing up awesome summaries for each of you and the FREAKING computer DELETED them!!!!!! ugh. so I am now listing the winners and when my temper subsides I will retype everything.
I despise technology. (tear) ok weird somehow I recovered a couple. . .sry I just don't have time right now to retype everyone else :(

Cheerleader of the Year - Michelle L.

Leadership Award - Miranda D.- Miranda has been a consistant leader on this team and in the program. She pushes her teammates (sometimes literally!) to be the best they can be and not settle for less! She has a gift for teaching and a vision for success. She works with younger cheerleaders and helps everyone to develop their cheerleading and tumbling skills. Thanks for your great leadership!

Positive Attitude Award - a tie!
Sara H. - Sara has been a constant force of spirit and leadership for this team. She reminds her teammates that they can accomplish anything. She supports them when they are frustrated and think they aren't capable of a stunt or tumbling pass. She, too, has helped everyone develop their tumbling skills. At the end of practice, when we run the routine "one more time" she throws that tumbling pass one more time (and RARELY complains of injury or sickness!) Thanks for your great spirit and leadership!

Chelsea H. - Chelsea is a quiet force that drives the team. She is there when a teammate needs a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. She consistantly works hard and sets a great example for everyone on the team. She is dependable. Her teammates admire her work ethic and commitment to this team! Thanks for your spirit and for being part of the glue that holds us together!

Frost at Indianapolis!

Frost Team Awards
Cheerleader of the Year - Paige W. - Paige has worked so hard! She has been a role model to the team with her dedication to improving her tumbling. She not only made her flip flop more solid & has running tumbling with a confident back tuck included. She has also added a standing tuck to her list of accomplishments. Paige is involved in SO much but she does a great job of giving cheer what it needs so our team can be at its best. Thanks for setting such a good example for your teammates and for the program! You are an all-star!!

Leadership Award - Nastasha O. - Stash has worked hard all year. She never stops trying to improve her jumps, tumbling, and stunting. She is a great flyer who teammates comment, "always hits her stunts." She can also base or back! She is a leader on the team and in the program offering to help out with younger teams and extra practice sessions. Thanks for your great spirit and leadership!

Positive Attitude Award - Abby A. - Abby is a constant when it comes to hard work. She has fought through some mind blocks this year that tried to hold her back. Her teammates find her courage and determination inspiring. They say she is, "always up for trying something new." They trust her to, "be there when they fall." They look to her as a fun and dependable teammate. Thanks Abby for your commitment to this team!

EIAS Success Award - WHOLE TEAM - who can pick one of these girls and say. "She improved the most." "She gave more to her team than anyone else." "She is a standout for success." I sure can't!! These girls nailed it this year. They ALL improved, they ALL gave it the most, they all stood out as successful individuals by coming together as ONE. This team is just that a TEAM. We don't stand alone. We stand together so no one has to face anything on their own. What an amazing team this was!

Cheerleader of the Winter - Brook B. - Brook is a great cheerleader! She works hard at practice and keeps us all laughing with her silly jokes ... "your bus is here!" She makes some of the coolest snaps that the team looks forward to getting! She has improved her stunting by nailing that kick full & her tumbling by getting her full! Way to go Brook you have what it takes to REALLY inspire this team. We are so happy you found us!

Cheerleader of the Fall - Lauren W. - Lauren works hard and stays positive. She has been a leader at practice helping others and reminding them to put each other up. She not only tackled her backhandspring just last spring (on the mat) BUT she has also mastered: running tumbling with tucks and is SO close to nailing that standing tuck!! Way to go Lauren you are a TRUE inspiration to the team, a GREAT role model for your teammates!

Frost - Camp Awards 2007
Camp awards are listed below. following each award are comments that team members made about each athlete!

Camp COW (Cheerleader of the Week) - Rachel J.
She had a positive attitude always having a smile on her face. She was brave and tried anything anyone asked her to do. She was responsible, showing up on time to everything and having what she needed. She improved and didn't complain.

Spirit - Abby A.
Abby is always so happy. She always has a smile on her face. She keeps our spirit up. She says funny stuff! We love her!

Dance - Carrie W.
Carrie practiced hard at camp even though she had a sore ankle. She caught on to the dance quickly and worked hard to make it tighter.

Stunt - Nastasha O.
Stash improved her stunting. She hit harder stunts and stayed tighter. She even pointed her toes! Even though she whacked Jessica in the head a couple times her great sense of humor helped Jess forgive her.

Jump - Paige H.
Paige's jumps are huge! With a little extra attention during jump class Paige learned how to turn her legs out and make her toe toech outstanding. After practicing for a couple days she could even land on her feet!

Ice Team Awards
CSA - The Grand Finale @ Davenport North High School (March)
1st place - Jr. Hip Hop
1st place - dance duet (Kaelee & Shaylynn)

Banquet Awards - Frost
Abby Ambrose - Most Improved
Abby "never quits trying" and "has improved a lot on her stunting." Abby comes to practice with a smile on her face willing to try anything! She has learned how to base a variety of stunts this year. She has a great attitude always putting forth 100%. When things are frustrating or confusing she works twice as hard to get it right! Great work this season!!

Chelsea Helmle - Leadership
Chelsea is "really nice and friendly." Chelsea found ways to quietly lead new girls who came into the team. She would pull girls off to the side to show them a dance part or talk with them about the counts for the stunt they were learning. Her work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to glide into any role set a wonderful example for her teammates.

Jordan Sitter - Positive attitude
Jordan "never gives up." Even when we thought the stunt was impossible and we'd fallen countless times Jordan would get back up and try again. She didn't think she was too good to keep working and get better at any part of the routine. Jordan was always respectful to her teammates and her coach.

Jessica Gilley - Cheerleader of the Year 2006-2007
Jessica is "helpful and kind" and "she didn't get an attitude at practice." Her love of cheerleading and desire to succeed is so obvious. Jessica practices even on days we don't have cheer practice. She knows her part of the routine and the rest of the teams' parts, as well! She is respectful, dedicated, and has been on the team since it began! Congratulations, Jessica!

*Special note* We honor these girls for things that stuck out to their teammates and their coaches. However, it's important to remember that EVERY girl on our team is truly amazing. Every girl on our team has been through some crazy life changing experiences this year and with those experiences has leaned on teammates. You have all grown stronger, wiser, and better as cheerleaders and as young adults. I am EXTREMELY proud of every girl on OUR team.

Remember in St. louis? When we decided not to vote for Fall awards but to write snaps so that every girl on the team remembered why she was special? It takes a really close knit team to care so much about each other that self-recognition isn't that important. I can't wait for next year! The mountains we will climb! Take care of yourselves ladies. I miss you already, and I love each and every one of you!

Most importantly - THANK YOU - for the BEAUTIFUL picture, card, and presentation -- and -- for giving me the chance to work with you!

Banquet Awards - Freeze
Congratulations to all Freeze girls for a spectacular season. I hope all of you enjoyed my speech. If you did not recieve an individual award please don't feel like you didn't have accomplishments. All of you grew so much this year. I am so very proud of each and every one of you. You are all amazing cheerleaders!

Frost team results 06-07
Chicago (NCA) - What a great showing!! Girls you pulled together at a tough time and really brought the routine back! Nice work. Our jumps "WOWED" the judges and you all worked hard to make it the best looking routine so far this year! Wait til March! We have a lot of time to bump up our skills - flexibility & good health are what we NEED to focus on!

Peoria wasn't bad. We got 2nd (& another bid), and we got through the routine the best we could for all the absences we had! Realize we didn't have one practice from Nov. - Dec. with EVERYONE present and well. That can be tough on a team. We will need to buckle down and work hard to really improve ourselves for Chicago!! We can do it!!

St. Louis was AWESOME!! Way to go girls!! We rocked - now let's sturdy up those libs and work on our flexibility!!
1st place in our division Sm Jr. L3
4th place out of the 19 teams in Level 3 (ONLY - 2 Lg. Jr. teams & 1 Sm. Sr. team out-scored us!)

AMAZING job at PV!! 1st place trophy - and a bid to Nationals. Our score was the highest score I've ever had a team receive!
We got an 87% :) YAHOO!

Camp Awards June 2006

Frost

Freeze
C.O.W. (Cheerleader of the Week) Holly Schroeder worked hard all week and really shined. She learned the routine quick. She was always quick to listen and follow directions. She has great jumps and beautiful tumbling. Way to go Holly!
