Message from Coach Holman:
I saw some decent play at Lions this last week. There's still a lot of work to go before you guys are tournament ready, but if your heart is set on golf, I strongly encourage some lessons this fall along with dedication of your own, and stay tuned for info about possible tryouts in December. I wish you all the best of luck this year at Anderson.

Golf Tryouts for 2009-2010 Season
For prospective Anderson golfers (boys and girls), tryouts will be at Lions, August 11th, 12th, and 13th. Players need to play at least 2 of the days. The school will pay for range balls and the golf.
Tee Times:
- Tuesday: Tee times start at 2pm
- Wednesday: Times start at 3:15pm
- Thursday: Tee times start at 2pm

Given the number of girls signed up, girls will not be required to try-out.
All players (those trying out as well as those exempt) MUST bring a completed copy of the Athletic Participation Form which includes a physical. The forms can be found in the "Handout" link on the website.
Message from Coach Holman:
There are only 5-6 spots available for the Anderson golf team. Due to the unavailability of the weight room, the strength/conditioning part of the tryout process will have to be removed this year. I will also be making assessments of basic golf skills while watching tryouts and warmups.
If you don't make the team, there will be tryouts again in December, so stay positive and keep working on your game!
Also, preference will be given to the underclassmen, should a senior and a freshmen tie in score, as the younger guys have even more time to develop their games.
