The 3rd place Blues played against the 2nd Place Monarchs for the 1st round of the playoffs. Offense was not a problem as every Blues player recorded a hit in the game with Colton Mabb going 3-5 with an RBI. Heath Fulher pitched effectively with shaky defense behind him and gave way to Brad Diepenbrock who shut down the Monarchs for 4 innings allowing 3 hits, striking out 9 and not walking a batter for the win. The Blues had to overcome a 1-5 deficit in the 9th, but scored 6 runs off the Monarchs' closer to win and go to the championship game.
Blues fought hard for their championship game against the 1st place Metros as they came back from behind in the 9th once again to win. Manager Ben Perry suffered an injury as a fence got in his way while running down a foul ball in the 2nd, and Shane "Clutch" Conti had a ball ricochet off his shin on the mound in the 3rd, giving the relief corps the ball early. Both Ryan Bollinger and Brad Diepenbrock shined at the plate, each going 3-4 with a double. With one out to go in the bottom of the 9th down 1-5, the Blues scored 5 runs on timely hits and wild pitches to be crowned the 2008 league champions.
