Message from 11U Team Tryout Judge and Manager
Hello Everyone and thank you for taking the time to try out for the 2009 Blackstone Valley Spinners 11U AAU team. The team will be made up of 12 full time roster players and 5 alternates for a total of 17 players. All 17 players will be invited to attend the winter hitting sessions. The 12 roster players will play in travel tournaments and Sunday doubleheaders. If one of the roster players can't make a travel tournament or Sunday doubleheader one of the alternates will be chosen to fill the spot. At this point, we have selected 11 roster players and are leaving the final spot open which will be filled at a later date. For the 11 players listed below, a $100 deposit will be due Saturday September 6th to confirm your spot on the team. We will be holding a practice for the 11 roster players this week followed by a parents meeting to discuss plans for the upcoming season.
It has been a pleasure working with your kids over the past 2 weeks of tryouts and I wish your team much success in the coming season. For those of you who didn't make the roster as a regular or alternate there are many other AAU teams out there and I would strongly suggest having your son tryout for another team.

SPINNERS WIN NEAAU SILVER MEDAL!!! After playing 6 games in 48 hours, upsetting every team seeded above them, the Spinners advanced to the NEAAU Championship game, before falling to Legends Baseball Club. Congratulations on a great playoff tournament run and a NEAAU Silver Medal!

2007 10U Tournament/Game Results
March 31 - April 1, 2007. Beyond all expectations!!! Our upstart travel team goes down Long Island and takes on the Express, Cannons and Outlaws - established programs all - and takes 2 out of 3 to tie for 1st in our pool? 4 lousy runs is all that separated us from the championship game. Unbelievable performance boys. You guys are TOUGH. It's going to be a fun spring and summer.

Saturday, April 7, 2007. Reds 20 - Spinners 10. Ouch. Well, chalk that one up to experience. The Reds are a good team and you have to play your best to beat them. We'll get another chance, though.
Sunday, April 22. Nice split with a solid Worcester StrikeZone team, 9-2 us in Game 1; 10-0 them in Game 2. Cronan and Sheehan were terrific on the mound in Game 1 and Jeffrey busted the game open with his 5th inning 2-run double. Their pitcher in Game 2 shut us down, though. But, Fournier, Petrin, McLaughlin and Brousseau were able to get hits off him. Nice job by both teams
Sunday, April 29.A heartbreaking loss - 7-6 - in Game 1. In AAU ball, you can't give a team extra outs. You will get burned...and that's what happened. Team Nokona takes Game 2 as well, 6-3. They're a good team and you've got to bring your "A" game to beat them.
Sunday, May 6. It all comes down to pitching and defense in the NEAAU league, doesn't it? Gotta give the boys credit though, they never quit in either game. Shamrocks take 2 games; 13-8 in Game 1, 4-3 in Game 2.
Sunday, May 13 is MOTHER'S DAY!!!!! Boys, give your Mom a kiss and tell her you love her. No game today.
Saturday, May 19. Game versus RI Reds postponed. Make-up TBA.
Sunday, May 20. How good can this team be? Good enough to beat the 1st place Swansea Independents, 3-2. How bad? Well, game 1's 8-0 loss tells that story. Great effort and great help from Mason Palmieri. Great comeback, boys.
