Team Assignments Reminder
To All Parents,

Effective in the 2005 season, no players may switch teams or divisions after team assignments have been made. If you feel your daughter should be playing at a different level, or have any questions regarding the team/division assignments please speak to either Tina Clark or Duane DeSalvatore prior to team assignments. As a reminder, returning players who do not change divisions will remain on the same team they played on last year when possible, although the coach may change. New players and returning players that are moving to a new division based on age requirements will be placed into the lottery and assigned to a team based on lottery drawings which will take place at the March board meeting.

Scholastic Awards, Scholarships & Honorable Mentions
1:18.0 Scholastic Award Eligibility
A.) Players/Parents shall be responsible for turning in copies of the year-end report card. Failure to do so will result in players not being considered for the scholastic award program. Awards shall be given based on students that maintain a GPA of 93 or better.

B.) Students who achieve Honor Roll status (maintaining a GPA of 86 or better) for the school year shall receive honorable mention.

Beachwood/Pine Beach Girls Softball League awards one player from each team a gift card award for the most improved grades. To be eligible, parents/players must give a copy of their year end report card to their coaches or Mary Burke by their last game. Failure to do so will result in the player not being considered.

Most Improved is defined by the player with the highest lift in their scholastic grades during the current scholastic year. Beachwood/Pine Beach Girls Softball League is committed to reward our participants not only for their performance and participation on the field, but also for their higher learning accomplishments as well.

Scholarships

One player from the highest division (O13) shall be awarded a scholarship from the league. To be eligible for consideration, players must have a GPA of 96 or better while participating in extracurricular activities demonstrating high levels of sportsmanship and leadership skills.

The awarded player will be reviewed by the leagues Board and confirmed and authorized by the Board’s Scholastic Representative, Mary Burke.

Honorable Mentions

All players that turn in a copy of their year end report card will be awarded an Honorable Mention by the league
