O's beat a determined Cowboy Team
The O's beat a determined Cooper City Team at Coral Glades today. Good pitching by Ryan Rudolph and a big gun down of a basestealer by Andrew Colangelo held the Cowboys in check early. Big hits by Alex, Shaun and Tyler put the O's in front and Drew shut the door for the last two innings. A big game against the West Boca Panthers comes tomorrow.

The O's continued their hard hitting ways and as always had the good pitching to sweep the Boca Stars. RJ threw a complete game gem in game 1 with big hits by the big boys in the lineup. Andrew and Drew pitched game 2 with more knock out hits all over the lineup. An added bonus for game 2 was aggressive base running and error free defense.
|
Finally the O's bats come alive to pound the Hawks at home on Saturday. Tyler pitched 3 strong innings and Ryan finished the game for the boys in orange. RJ continues to pound out single after single and the entire team seemed to have what RJ has.

Great pitching and timely hitting made for an awesome redemption victory against the Plantation Stars at home Thursday night. Shaun and Drew shut down the potent Stars offense and good base running as well as timely hitting made the difference. Ryan Rudolph's walk off RBI single sent the O's and their fans home happy. A offensive break out is coming in the near future.

We will never win.

The O's managed 2 hits against the tough West Pines Cobras. Add in 2 errors to keep the inning alive for the Cobras that's a recipe for a loss. There is nothing good to say about this game, the O's were flat from the beginning and never really put anything together.

Doubleheader Sweep
The O's got some great pitching from their staff and timely hitting to sweep a very good East Coast Eagle Team. Shaun started the day and Tyler earned the save, big hits and good defense by Evan put the team in front and closed the door. In game two Tyler started and got the win with Andrew coming in and closing the door. Drew worked hard behind the plate for the second half of game one and, all of game two. RJ and KJ had some key singles during the day. A great day for the team.

Eliminated
The O's were eliminated from the Cobra's tournament by the Maddogs. Leaving the bases loaded 4 times cost the O's despite some tough pitching by the O's staff. Back to the regular season with a double header next weekend.
|
The O's keep pounding out the hits with another big offensive day. Brandon Diaz hit a big homerun to jump start the offense and RJ Lara delievered a clutch drive to score 2 RBI and put the game out of reach. Ty Neville's drive to center plated 2 teamates to cap the scoring. The O's now wait the seeding to see who's next on the march for the tourney title.

Lights out pitching by Ryan Rudolph and hard hit balls all night led to the O's pounding the Lighting in the first round of pool play. Well executed hit and runs as well as solid defense made it a quick night. Shaun Anderson led the team offensively with 5 RBI including a monster HR to left center.

Win over the League Pre-Season Favorite
After the league posted thier predictions the O's went out and beat the favorites 8-3 behind some dominating pitching by Shaun Anderson and Ryan Rudolph. Brandon Diaz led the team with 3 hits including a big home run and 4 total RBI. Shaun Anderson contributed with a homer of his own to help the cause. The bottom of the lineup sacrificed 3 times and set the table for the meat of the order. Errors by the O's (5 total) kept the game closer than it should have been. A good start to the season.
