-- The Teamsters Local 25 (14-5) win first Little League championship since 1990 with 13-1 thrashing of McCarthy's Liquors (12-8).
-- Congratulations to all the Little Leaguers who participated in the 2009 tournament season. All told, Charlestown played a total of 54 tourney games at three levels and posted a combined 27-27 record.
-- Congratulations to Brennan Carrier, who posted a 10-4 pitching record this season to lead all players in victories, and to Marty Rose, who clubbed a whopping 18 home runs at the Major League level.
