CIP Standout Drafted In The 8th Round Of The 2008 MLB Draft!!
Rowan senior left hander Ryan Kulik was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2008 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
Kulik was taken with the 245th pick in the eighth round of the draft. In four years at Rowan, he compiled a 29-10 record with a 2.81 earned run average (ERA) and 337 strikeouts. He holds the school records for strikeouts in a game (15), season (144) and career (337), strikeouts per nine innings in a season (13.77) and career innings pitched (330.0). Kulik is also tied for first with 49 career starts.
This year, Kulik was selected the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Coaches Association (NJCBA) Division II/III Pitcher of the Year. He was named to the NJAC All-Conference and NJCBA All-State first teams. Kulik earned American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)-Rawlings All-America and Mid-Atlantic All-Region first team honors. He was also chosen the NJAC Male Athlete of the Year.

Ciconte's Repeat In The Invitational!!!
Ciconte's Kevin O'Hara stole the show on Wednesday night throwing a complete game NO HITTER against Bidic Autos. O'Hara also fanned 9 batters in his no hit shut out. The offense was led by tournament MVP Frank Galeota who went 4-5, RUN, RBI. Also contributing to the offense was Mike Rucci, Mark Michael, Bryan Ciconte, and Kyle Davis all adding 2 hits a piece. Reid Briglia later added Ciconte's second Ed's Body Shot Blast of the tournament in the bottom of the 6th inning over the right field fence.
