Preseason Camp : July 27th through July 31st, 8:00am, Commack HS
July 26, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters are pleased to announce their precollegiate training camp under the direction of Premier Soccer's Dave Phaff. Training will start on Monday, July 27th, 2009 and continue daily through Friday, July 31st, 2009. These daily sessions will take place from 8:00am until 11:00am at Commack High School in Commack, New York. The fee per player will be $150.00 for the week on a special discount for the Blasters. All checks must be made payable to Dave Phaff on or before the first day of camp. The coaches will not be directly collecting fees for this training camp.

Season Ending Party at Dave and Buster's, Sunday, July 26th, 4:00pm-7:00pm
July 25, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters will celebrate the close of the school year and our team's upcoming collegiate years with an end of season party at Dave and Busters in Farmingdale, New York located at 261 Airport Plaza Boulevard. We are planning this celebration for Sunday, July 26th, 2009 and our reservations are from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. The menu will include roasted rosemary chicken, linguini alfredo, pasta with marinara sauce, cheese pizza bites, salads, vegetables, and rolls. Dessert will include brownies, cookies, and strawberries. Unlimited soda, coffee, and tea will also be available in addition to a cash bar. Please make every effort to join us for this final celebration!

Team Training Will Resume During Final Week of June 2009
May 8, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters will be on a training break until the last week of June 2009 to allow our players to enjoy their final seven weeks of high school and senior year activities. Despite having played our final competitive match of the GU/18 Season, the Blasters will resume team training at the end of June and continue through early August as our players prepare to join their collegiate assignments. Enjoy the final days of your senior year safely!

2009 State Cup Ends in Quarter Finals Against Defending Champions
May 6, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters were defeated by the defending State Cup Champions, Albertson 90 Fury, in the quarterfinal round of the 2009 US Youth Soccer Eastern New York State Championships by a final score of 5-1. On Saturday, September 9th, 2000, the games between these two squads started as the then Plainedge Blasters defeated the Albertson Aggressors by a score of 5-2. Many games in league, State Cup, and tournaments have been played since and this was a fitting bookend to the Blasters decade of play.

Quarterfinal State Cup Game : Tuesday, May 5th, 5:30pm, Burr Intermediate
May 2, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters have moved into the quarterfinal round of the 2009 US Youth Soccer Eastern New York State Championships GU/18 bracket. The next match will be on Tuesday, May 5th against the Albertson 90 Fury with kickoff scheduled for 5:30pm. This match will be played on the grass at Burr Intermediate School in Commack. The State Cup will be our final regularly scheduled competition for our GU/18 season. Please arrive one hour before game time for team warmups!

Closing Weekend Action Sees Commack Finish from Top Premier League
May 2, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters hosted the closing weekend of the 2009 Region One Premier League on Saturday, May 2nd with the Albertson 90 Fury, FSA Soccer Plus and FC Stars of Massachusetts all joining us for closing weekend. In the Blasters opening match, a good possession game did not yield any goals in a 2-0 loss to the FSA Soccer Plus team. The nightcap was a 0-0 draw against the FC Stars of Massachusetts. The Blasters record closes at 0W-5L-2T (2 Points) in league play. In closing this season, the Commack Blasters exit their Spring 2009 league play having been part of the highest ranked league available, a tribute to our players and their hard work throughout the years.

Region One Premier League Closing Weekend on Saturday, May 2nd
April 29, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters will host their closing 2009 Region One Premier League weekend on Saturday, May 2nd at Commack High School. The Blasters opening match will be against the FSA Soccer Plus team with kickoff scheduled for 11:00am. The second half of the double header will kickoff at 3:45pm against the FC Stars of Massachusetts. All players (including keepers) should bring all their jerseys and equipment for both games. Please arrive one hour before kickoff on Saturday morning!

State Cup Quarterfinals Next Up After 2-1 Victory in PK Shootout
April 27, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters survived a tough Saturday schedule, a long drive, and a two hour match against a tenacious Shenentaha Lady Mad Dogs Premier team with a 2-1 overtime victory taken in penalty kicks, 4-3, in the 2009 US Youth Soccer Eastern New York State Championships GU/18 bracket. The Blasters move into the quarterfinal round for the third straight year and will face the Albertson 90 Fury on Saturday, May 9th.

Blasters Draw First Points in Region One Premier League Action
April 26, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters continued their play in the 2009 Region One Premier League on Saturday, April 25th. During this doubleheader, the Blasters lost their opening match against the CFC United by a 7-1 score after playing to an even first half. The Commack Blasters recovered in the second match against the New England Aztecs playing their best game of the season in a 2-2 draw. Only a final minute goal stood between the Blasters and their first Region One victory. The Blasters record moves to 0W-4L-1T in league play with a final doubleheader planned for Saturday, May 2nd.

Triple Header Scheduled for Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th
April 22, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters will have three games covering both the 2009 Region One Premier League on Saturday, April 25th and the 2009 US Youth Soccer Eastern New York State Championships on Sunday, April 26th. On Saturday, games will start at 9:30am as the Blasters will play CFC United at Citizen's Bank Park in Lancaster, Massachusetts on Field #11. This will be followed by a 5:00pm game against the New England Aztecs on Field #12. The Commack Blasters will then pack their gear and travel to the play the Shenentaha Lady Mad Dogs Premier at Gavin Park in Saratoga Springs, New York with a 1:00pm kickoff.

Region One Premier League Opening Doubleheader Losses
April 19, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters dropped both ends of their Saturday, April 18th doubleheader in the 2009 Region One Premier League. In the opening game against the Montclair Aristocats, an aggressive and strong offensive attack dealt the Blasters a 7-0 loss against the number three ranked national team. The doubleheader's backend saw a scoreless halftime draw end in a 4-1 loss against the Rockville Centre Tornadoes. League action resumes on Saturday, April 25th with two more games at Citizen's Bank Park in Lancaster, Massachusetts.

April 15, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters will play their second and third games in the 2009 Region One Premier League on Saturday, April 18th. Region One Premier League Opens with 4-0 Loss Against Albertson
April 1, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters played in their opening Spring 2009 Region One Premier League match against familiar competition, the Albertson 90 Fury. Changing logistics throughout the day led to a 5:00pm kickoff for this Wednesday fixture at Commack High School. Despite the changes, the Albertson 90 Fury were ready to play and defeated the Commack Blasters by a 4-0 final score. The Premier League standings have been updated with the latest results.

March 20, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters have made hotel arrangements for our upcoming Region One Premier League and 2009 USYSA Eastern New York State Cup matches in late April. Nor'Easter Postpones Opening Weekend Games in Region One Premier League
March 5, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters in conjunction with the Albertson 90 Fury have postponed the Saturday, March 7th opening weekend games of the Spring 2009 Region One Premier League due to snow and ice that remains on the fields at both Adelphi University and Commack High School. The teams will be rescheduling these matches shortly.

March 3, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters have confirmed the details for the opening weekend of the Spring 2009 Region One Premier League for Saturday, March 7th. The Blasters will open the season at 10:00am with a game against FSA Soccer Plus from Connecticut. The second game will start at 2:00pm against the FC Stars of Massachusetts. Cooperating with the Albertson Soccer Club to get turf fields, both of these games will now be hosted matches at Commack High School on the turf field. Please arrive one hour before game time for team warm-ups!

February 27, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters will have a indoor weight training sessions with Peter Alanga on Monday, March 2nd and Thursday, March 5th with both sessions starting at 8:00pm. Soccer skills training will be held on Wednesday, March 4th starting at 4:00pm with Trainer Dave Phaff. All sessions will take place as usual at Commack High School.

February 7, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters are now collecting fees for the Spring 2009 league season including training, referee, and State Cup fees. Our fees will be $325.00 per player and will cover our training through May, 2009. Please make every effort to remit your fees as soon as possible.

February 5, 2009  --   Change of Location Information -- Due to outdoor conditions and continuing cold temperatures, the Commack Blasters will have full-field indoor round-robin scrimmages on Saturday, February 7th at Hofstra University starting at 3:00pm. We will be scrimmaging inside the former New York Jets bubble with three other teams. Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, turn right immediately following the Nassau Coliseum and make the first left into the University for best access to the indoor facility. Please dress for indoor turf conditions.

State Cup Brackets Released, Commack Opens Away at Shenentaha
February 2, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters have received confirmation on our 2009 US Youth Soccer Eastern New York State Championships GU/18 bracket. The Blasters will open on the road on Sunday, April 26th against the Shenentaha Lady Mad Dogs Premier in the Albany, New York area. Remember that the Blasters will be playing a double header to close the Region One Premier League the day before Saturday, April 25th, in Massachusetts. Expect that we will drive from New York to Massachusetts and stay over on Friday, April 24th before our Region One games. We will then drive from Massachusetts to Albany, New York and stay over on Saturday night, April 25th before our State Cup opener. The winner of our match will draw a quarterfinal match against either the Albertson 90 Fury or Staten Island United Mustangs.

January 16, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters have received their scheduled dates for the Spring 2009 Region One Premier League season in the GU/18 North Division. The season will open on Saturday, March 7th with a double header hosted by the Albertson Soccer Club where the Blasters will play the FSA Soccer Plus from Connecticut and the FC Stars of Massachusetts. Additional double headers have been scheduled for Saturday, April 18th and Saturday, April 25th. A single game against the Albertson 90 Fury at Commack High School will be scheduled for later in March. Please see our Schedules Link for the latest details.

Next Training : Sunday, January 11th, 1:00pm Until 3:00pm, Commack HS
January 6, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters will continue team training on Sunday, January 11th at Commack High School starting at 1:00pm. We will be holding this session outdoors if the weather is favorable and indoors if the weather conditions are not favorable. Please dress for either and have both outdoor cleats and indoor shoes. Please be sure to have your training jerseys for this practice.

Commack Blasters Assigned to Region One Premier League's North Division
January 2, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters have been assigned to the GU/18 North Division for the Spring 2009 Region One Premier League season. Joining the Blasters in the seven game schedule will be the Albertson 90 Fury (NYE), CFC United (CT), FC Stars (MA), FSA Soccer Plus (CT), Montclair United Aristocats (NJ), New England Aztecs (MA), and Rockville Center Tornadoes (NYE). Please note that the division coordinator will be from the Montclair team for this season's scheduling. If there are specific blackout dates to be considered, please highlight those immediately!

January 2, 2009  --   The Commack Blasters will begin team training for the Spring 2009 season on Sunday, January 4th, 2009 indoors at Commack High School. The session will begin at 1:00pm. Please be sure to have your training jerseys for this practice.

Commack Blasters Accepted to Spring 2009 Region One Premier League
December 8, 2008  --   The Commack Blasters received notification on Monday, December 8th that the team has been accepted into the Region One Premier League for the Spring 2009 season. Sixteen teams have been accepted and will be divided into two divisions, the North and South. The Blasters will be playing a seven game schedule between the weekends of Saturday, March 1st and Saturday, May 2nd. Our primary game day will be Saturday to avoid State Cup conflicts. Among the teams accepted joining Commack are Connecticut United (CT), Mount Laurel United (NJ), Montclair (NJ), FC Bucks (PAE), FC Delco (PAE), Albertson (NYE), PDA (NJ), FC Stars (MA), Laurel (MD), Rockville Centre (NYE), McLean (VA), Arsenal/World Class (NJ), FSA Soccer Plus (CT), Aztecs (MA), and TEYSA Hot Socs (PAE). Tournament Plans for GU/18 Spring 2009 Season
November 8, 2008  --   The Commack Blasters have registered for the Eastern New York State Cup 2009 competition and will play another post-season tournament to close the GU/18 Season.
